"This low rating is due to the valet service for the hotel. They wrecked my truck and promised to complete repair but i have been jumping through hoops for 2 months. Now i cannot even get an email reply or call back from the valet service company. They even still charged me the valet nightly fee! Other than that, the stay was above average. Clean hotel, decent breakfast, and comfortable bed."

"Our biggest issues were communication and there was a power shut off plan that we did not know about which affected us on a Saturday morning while we were trying to get ready to go out for the day. Also their internet went out for majority of a day. We had asked for towels and it took half a day or more to get it. Communication at times is very good but other times their app there was not good communication. It is a beautiful hotel and residence. Amenities appear to be superb. Staff does try....

"Surprisingly average - with a few serious "low-lights". I sat for nearly 30 minutes waiting for a server to take a breakfast order yesterday. No water, no coffee, just waiting, while they walked around me. I had the worst pizza EVER at the bar - had to send it back. It was a mess of sodium and grease, no resemblance to pizza. The Peloton bike (main reason I stay in most hotels) wasn't either activated, nor connected to the internet - so wouldn't work. I won't be back."

"The hotel is gorgeous but the King sized bed was a Queen, the restaurant had gnats (bar area) the actual restaurant was closed but the food (dinner) looked like a tv dinner. Fried chicken was HIGHLY questionable, there was a piece of hair in my water. We did not pay for our meal, we could barely eat from the gnats swarming around our food. I was just disgusted to say the least. I expected more from this "luxury" hotel. NEVER AGAIN!"

"The Hyatt Place in Downtown Houston offers spacious clean rooms and a nice breakfast in the mornings. Located in a busy Downtown location, the hotel offers valet parking at a steep price. During busy times, it could be very hectic. We sat in our car in the middle of the street for 15 min before we were able to hand our car over. Valet personnel however were courteous and helpful. The surrounding area is a little sketchy at night."
