Solitude in the city! Spacious and serene. Amazingly well-built! Beautiful wood floors. See nature, not neighbors, out the kitchen and bedroom windows! This comfortable home, in a safe, quiet neighborhood, sits on a half-acre lot that's accented with flowers and wildlife. Minutes from OSU, the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds, downtown Columbus, Easton Town Center, Clintonville, North Columbus, all area universities, five hospitals and more. Worthington and Dublin are close to via I-270.

We're experienced hosts that just opened this unique property in June 2022. We're new here, have hosted dozens of guests on another platform with 100% 5-star reviews!

Wedding haven

We stayed at Maize house during my daughter's wedding week. We had a lovely stay and it was perfect for our needs! The house was clean, well provisioned and welcoming. The owners did a great job having some extra touches. A case of water bottles was a lifesaver for us! Other nice touches were makeup remover wipes in the bathroom, lots of extra towels, coffee in the cabinet and snacks set out for us. The location was convenient and felt very private. I strongly recommend this property!!

Perfect for what we needed!

Solitude in the city house was perfect for what we needed! We were in town for our son to compete in his special Olympics State Summer Games. It was perfect being so close to OSU. The house was nicely updated, very clean & had pretty much everything we needed. There were helpful signs posted throughout the house explaining how things worked & there were no crazy "must do" list before checking out. Very refreshing!! Rick was wonderful to check in with us before, during & after our stay to be sure that everything was going well. We are already looking forward to staying here again next year!

Perfect!

Glad we found this property! House was in a great location and clean plus the owner had waters and snacks for us which was a nice bonus . Felt like a home away from home! Owner was easy to get in touch with and always super responsive!

Zoo time in Columbus

It was a perfect fit for my family and I communication with the property manager was excellent and the cleanliness of the house was perfect. All the notes around the house of very helpful. We had a great time easy to get to all the spots we wanted to visit in Columbus.

Great find

We traveled to visit my elderly mother in Ohio. The ranch style house was perfect for our visit. It was well stocked with towels, blankets and pillows. The kitchen is fairly modern with a dishwasher and microwave. It was tastefully decorated with plenty of seating in the living room and large dining room table. We had excellent communication with our hosts. We would happily stay again the next time we are visiting.

A great weekend visit with old friends

I rented the house for a weekend stay and football game with childhood friends. Rick was highly communicative and even left bottled water and snacks for us to enjoy. The house is old, probably a 40's build, but it is extremely clean, well lit and cozy. It is also close to Morse Road restaurants,grocery stores and allows one to avoid the traffic of downtown Columbus and the university. I will not hesitate to stay there next year for another football game.

Wonderful Stay!

Maize House offered an absolutely homey, cozy and welcoming experience. Our family of 4 enjoyed and appreciated everything from the beautiful picture windows in each room to the games in the closet to the actual rotary dial phone in the kitchen! There were an abundance of towels, pillows and blankets and the amenities at Maize House truly felt like home. Rick and Amy were the most attentive and gracious hosts -we sincerely thank y’all for your kindness and consideration in all things. We look forward to staying again on our next visit to Columbus.

Solitude in the City stay

This was our first stay at this property and it was a real surprise. The host was in contact with us before and during our visit, providing assistance. He provided service above and beyond our expectations. It was great to have snacks and water when we arrived and the place was very clean and comfortable. We were able to enjoy the yard as well. Great location too! If ever in the area again, we will definitely book here!

A great older house with everything we needed

I have family in the Maize-Morse neighborhood so the location was perfect. All three bedrooms are a nice size, the decor and furnishings are lovely, and the house was spotless. Despite being located on a fairly busy street, noise was not an issue at all. The owners were gracious and very responsive. I hope to stay there again!

Best rental house ever

What can I say? What an amazing house to rent. Everything was provided for us, even water in the fridge, and snacks! Very clean. Location is within 10 minutes of downtown. Restaurants all around. Easy access into the drive. Many lights were already on for us when we arrived. Property is well lit inside and out. Beds comfortable. Extra towels, blankets, and pillows provided. Both tvs worked as described. Excellent communication by text and emails. Full description of everything, even notes in the house how to use tvs and coffee maker manual. Shower with removable head (with different settings) was very nice with good water pressure. Every VRBO owner should take lessons from the owners. Best rental we've ever been in!

Really close to OSU stadium. 3 beds, 1 bath, driveway parking. YouTube TV, 1 bedroom TV and living room TV. AWESOME host. Perfect instructions. Very clean and quiet. Will stay again.

Feels like home

The house is spacious, comfortable, warm, and well-appointed. All three bedrooms are nicely sized with very comfortable beds and soft blankets, and everything was incredibly clean. It was a real bonus to be able to park our car in the garage overnight. The house is just off of a busy road, but you'd never know because it's so quiet and peaceful inside. We also appreciated all the creature comforts like plenty of clean towels, makeup wipes, hairdryer, coffee, water bottles, and oatmeal! Further, it's a very short and easy drive to downtown Columbus. Finally, the owner was fantastic--helpful and communicative.

Nice family home to stay in Columbus

This was a great place to stay in Columbus. Close to shopping and restaurants but not close to loud traffic. Kind of forgot we were even in a city. The owner was super nice and communication with him was above and beyond. The home was super clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay!

Sonic Temple Stay

Me and a couple of friends stayed here awhile attending the Sonic Temple Festival. The place was perfect!! The house might be a bit dated but it’s well kept with modern features and amenities. The place was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Rick is an awesome host, he communicated everything that we needed to know about the house and it’s features prior to check-in . We had zero problems during our stay but, had we, I have full confidence that Rick would’ve have corrected it immediately. Thank you for a great stay, Rick! We will be back!!
