Located just 45 minutes from must-see Frankenmuth, 40 minutes to Flint, and 1.5 hours from Detroit and Ann Arbor, whether you venture out during your stay, or snuggle in for the weekend, you'll find rest from your everyday hustle. And no worries, you have the convenience of a grocery store 5 min away, and you are 15 from Lapeer with all the restaurants, shopping, and city convenience you need. Whether you're looking for a Pure Michigan summer, breathtaking fall colors, or your perfect spot for winter ice-fishing, this cabin offers year-round getaways.

Tucked among mature trees on Barnes Lake, this cabin blends rustic charm and everyday comfort - vaulted knotty-pine ceilings, a lakeside fire pit, log swing, and a wrap-around deck built for lakeside views. Spend the day on the private stone patio watching the boats go by or explore the lake on kayaks or paddleboat.

Comfortably sleeping 10 guests (up to 12), this cabin is perfect for whole families or just a romantic getaway for two. You'll find two bedrooms with closets on the main level, plus two loft spaces - one large, one small - each accessed by ladder, perfect for extra sleeping space for kids or guests who are able to climb up and down the ladders. The open-concept sunroom, kitchen, living room, and dining area create a bright, connected space to gather, relax, and take in the lake views.
The kitchen comes fully stocked and ready to cook in. There is a filtered water system with no "well water" smell! The dedicated laundry room has a washer, dryer, and laundry soap for your longer stays.

Outside, the cabin comes to life. A spacious deck leads down the stairs to the shoreline where you'll find a flagstone patio with a built-in fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and a long, sturdy dock ideal for fishing or tying up a boat. (Please note the lake bottom near the dock has some natural seaweed and isn't a sandy swimming spot - for the best swimming experience, guests can paddle out to the middle of the lake or take a 3-minute drive to access the private residents-only beach and picnic area for a sandy-bottom swimming experience.) This beach area is also where you can bring and launch your own boat to tie off at our dock. An on-site shed is stocked with firewood and fishing poles. Two kayaks and a paddleboat are available for you to explore the lake. Back up at the top deck, enjoy outdoor dining and a grill for easy lakeside meals.

Please note: The cabin is accessed via a set of stairs from the parking area down to the main entrance, and loft bedrooms are accessed by ladder only - worth keeping in mind for guests with mobility considerations or very young children. Also note there is no grassy area aside from the empty lot across the street. There is no fence, dogs must be leashed. The deck goes down to a landing with a log swing and hammock, and then down to the shallow water's edge where is no guardrail or fencing. We feel this is important to know for families with young ones.
