This is your EASY vacation getaway! Perfectly located next to and just a few minutes from Downtown, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs! You can't find a better location than this! It is nestled away on a small cozy hill, which makes the perfect escape while still being close to all the amenities Colorado Springs (COS) has to offer. This is the main floor unit of a duplex, and has a queen bed, one queen sized pull out couch on the right in the living room, and a full size air mattress. Come & relax in this unbeatable location!

Its not like the picture that's listed. The property has been neglected.

We were looking forward to returning back to our old neighborhood. Unfortunately, the house was in really bad shape. My daughter and I cleaned the house everyday in ordered to stay in that location. Its a long journey up the stairs to the top of the rental unit. Living with multiple sclerosis, I specifically called the Host prior to the booking to confirm the property was accessible. I was told, "there is a few steps to the house." There is no way for a person with a disability could even climb the hill, covered in weeds to access the base of the home to the next set of steep stairs to the top unit. Just a couple of years ago the house was beautiful! The fences are knocked down on both sides. The neighbors complained with no resolve. I hate to leave such a bad review about a house that has so much beautiful history. The pictures of the house are from the previous owner. Now, the house bairly visible. There was a previous complaint from the lady in June who described foods and dishes behind the couch. It was still there. I opened the vent on the floor in the bedroom because of the smell. It was full of dirt as if someone swept the floor and dumped it in the vent. I wanted to stay and retrieve the beauty of the home. The results would be worth it. I really want this to reach the owner without him being angry wi , but to seriously consider making his investment in this beautiful 1800 Victorian House a grand one. Please find a landscaper and a professional cleaning co.

4th of July week 2023

The house was comfortable and hospitable for the time being. However there several damages that we noticed when we checked in......scratches on the floor, closet door hinges broken, dining table curtain stained, burners on the stove out of its place and trash behind the couch from previous renters that was never cleaned for who knows how long. Also my watch was stolen from my personal bag during our time out of the house on July 3. Not sure who got in and took it (possibly the cleaners!). Overall the place is in a good location to town and cozy enough to occupy. Malakai Hawaii

Dirty & Unsafe

While we were happy to have a roof over our heads and access to the neighborhood and mountains there were many details about this VRBO that made it unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Before we arrived we were informed there was an issue with the keys and that they might have been switched with the other rental unit. We were then given access to the master set of keys. This left me worried that other guests also had access to those keys and could easily sneak in. Along with that the front window doesn't lock so that could have been another easy access point. There were many things that were unusable as well. The ceiling fan/light in the bedroom, blinds above bed on the wall facing a neighboring house, and one of the pull out couches. The uncleanliness of the space is what impacted our stay the most. We arrived early in the morning after a long day of travel and expected to be able to rest comfortably. Instead when we opened the usable couch we found a bowl of old food, other food garbage and a lot of dirt, as well as removable dirt from the mattress. The only sheets we could find were balled up in a pillowcase, they did not seem to be clean. I informed the host and without coordinating with us he sent the cleaners over a few hours after our arrival, forcing us to quickly adjust our plans to be out of the way. The cleaners did not even address the mess I had informed them of they only replaced the sheets. Later we also found a bowl of cat food above the cabinets. Waste of money!

4 night stay

We stayed here four nights to come back for a friends wedding, so it met our needs for sleeping quarters, but we did have some issues. The host was awesome at communication and resolving these issues though and very kind people. We will definitely come back if the issues we mentioned to the host are addressed! Otherwise, it wasn’t a bad stay!

You won't want to miss this one!

We had family from Germany staying for close to 3 weeks and we all had a blast! This was a great place to stay, the property manager answered all the questions we had, got back to me very quickly. We hope that when they return again that this listing will be available. I was very happy being a first time booker!
