Come and enjoy this delightful cozy cottage,nestled in the Colorado Springs foothills.Perfect for hiking the local trails outside your door or to sight see! Far Cry is a 1935 newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage nestled in the foothills of Colorado Springs. It is conveniently located steps from Stratton Open Space with numerous trails for hiking and biking, minutes from Seven Falls, North Cheyenne Canon, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the famed 5 star Broadmoor Hotel. Create your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen or grill your favorite dinner on the deck overlooking the city. We supply a selection of coffee and teas for your enjoyment. Your dishes, flatware, and glasses are all provided.
Luxury bedding makes the cozy bedroom, with a queen size bed, a delightful escape.
Your bathroom will provide a tub/shower combo, heated tile floors, a washer/dryer combo and luxury amenities.
The living room is sunny and bright, with 7 large windows, mountain and city views,
A gas fireplace provides a delightful bit of evening heat. The living room opens on to a sunny deck for your morning coffee and a grill if you desire an evening meal at home.
TV and Free WiFi are available and if you listen carefully your may hear the quarter hour chimes and an occasional song from Will Rogers Shrine on Cheyenne Mountain.
There is the opportunity to view lots of wildlife - even an occasional bear!

Third time staying at this lovely cottage, and I would continue to recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, quiet, and convenient place to stay in Colorado Springs. We stayed here for a week in August and really appreciated the proximity to the open space for some quick outdoor fun. The cottage has everything you need, and Bet is very quick to respond to questions. The space is just right for 2 people, and has fantastic lighting throughout the day. Despite the hot August sun, the fans and living room AC kept the place cool. The location too can't be beat - tucked away in the foothills, but still close to shopping, the Broadmoor hotel, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (which is awesome!). Thanks again Bet for a memorable stay.

This house is a wonderful hideaway. It's tucked out of the way, but close enough to the city to be able to visit restaurants. It's close to Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Seven Falls and Helen Hunt Falls. It was cozy and bright. Definitely one of the better places we have visited.

Quiet Retreat

Quaint older cottage. Nice neighborhood. Narrow streets. I drive a 3/4 ton crew cab truck and it got tight meeting other vehicles. Will take the smaller 4Runner on the next visit. Bed was comfortable. We stayed July 4th week so we used the portable AC at night. Cooled the bedroom just fine, but we did leave the bedroom door open since the unit is in the living room. Cooled the bathroom enough to engage the automatic floor heater in the mornings…that would be nice in the winter. Deck out back was nice for morning coffee. It’s a great value for the location.

We loved Far Cry Cottage… the location was perfect with hiking, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, grocery stores and restaurants all very close. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the hummingbirds flying overhead in the trees. The backyard was secluded and felt very private. The cottage had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend. We would definitely stay there next time we travel to Colorado Springs area.
