The house was beautiful and the view was breath taking, but the whole house was dusty. We had to sweep the top floor and make sure to air out the house.

Lovely cabin getaway!We’ve stayed at the owner’s other cabin several times, and this was our first time at this one. It was just as wonderful. The cabin is spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need. It’s close to plenty of family-friendly activities yet still feels peaceful and secluded. The owner is always so kind, responsive, and easy to work with. We highly recommend this cabin and look forward to coming back!

Very clean, comfortable, homey feeling lodge. Seems like you are in the middle of nowhere yet remarkably close to anything you want to do. Mueller State Park is a gem if you like hiking. Highly recommend this VRBO!

The Bear Cub cabin we rented through VRBO in Florissant, Colorado was an absolutely AWESOME experience! It had all of the amenities of a 5 star hotel with a GORGEOUS view of Pikes Peak and was located in a beautiful location surrounded by nature at its finest.During our week's stay we enjoyed day trips to Cripple Creek, Canon City and Colorado Springs. In addition, we rode the Royal Gorge train, took a fabulous jeep ride with Colorado Jeep Tours and took many beautiful scenic drives culminating with our drive through the Garden of the Gods.Most of all for me, I enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this cabin afforded. Each morning while sipping on a hot cup of Joe watching the sun rise up over the mountains and being surrounded by God's beauty was truly a Blessing.

This was our third year at this property and it was absolutely wonderful as always beautiful views, great house and just a great time! The host is very responsive when we ask a question or need something. We definitely recommend this place.

This is a nice quiet place to stay with a awesome view of the backside of Pikes Peak. We were there just to relax and connect with our adult kids and their husbands. The house had everything you would need for cooking meals, but the food. I loved the kitchen and living area, they are wide open, with many windows.

Exactly as advertised online! Top quality finishes throughout the house, well-furnished, and felt like a home. The view of Pike's Peak was fantastic, and the deck had plenty of room and seating (as well as a hot tub). The owners were very responsive when we had questions. We utilized and enjoyed the full kitchen and provided games. The owners also have another cabin next door--renting both cabins works great for large groups! Great place for people of all ages!

Next Level Spot!

We are from MN - Colorado and Bear Cub Lodge was our first trip to the mountains with the kids, and this place took our breath away. The kids (13,15,17) explored the large area surrounding the house and would disappear for a couple hours at a time. That’s what I wanted! - To see them make an adventure out of the rocks, hilly landscape, and then come home to play some ping pong, foosball, and end the night in the hot tub. As far as a stocked kitchen - if they don’t have it, you don’t need it. This is actually one of the more robustly stocked kitchens I’ve ever rented, and the upgraded appliances are really nice. I would have to say my favorite thing is actually the book the owner put together. It is one of the most robust and informative of its kind I have seen in any rental I have had. I highly recommend going to Woodland Park and spending a day there just browsing the town. Grab yourself a beer at the local brewery, do some shopping and, if you’re like me and like to get a tattoo when I travel, Celestial Tattoo is phenomenal. The family really loved the dinosaur museum as well. We did white water rafting in Buena Vista (also the highest concentration of mountain peaks over 14,000 feet in the lower 48 ). Garden of the Gods is only 40 minutes away, and Eleven Mile Canyon is a MUST!Also, if anyone is curious, we are “bed snobs,” and these beds are extremely comfortable! Take it from me - this host has his stuff together!

Bear Cub Lodge was amazing! The cabin was remote and yet close enough to the events we had planned. We had everything we needed for our stay and more This is such an awesome cabin and we hope that next time we come back (we will!) the fire pit will be available to be used.
