Sunnyside Up - Small Dog Friendly Waterfront Cottage

Our classic cottage has beautiful expansive views of the Potomac River. Wake up to stunning sunrises & enjoy coffee in our screened front porch, or sit & relax on our own private dock.

Our home is equipped with comfortable linens, a fully stocked kitchen, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, & a secluded outdoor dining area with a gas grill, fire pit & fenced yard.

We are just blocks away from the public beach, downtown shops, boardwalk, and restaurants. Golf cart rentals can be reserved thru local companies.

Coastal décor cottage. No smoking on the property.

Easy to walk, ride bikes or rent a golf cart around town. Free parking in front of the cottage along the street.
Other things to note-
Our little house is the quintessential cottage of Colonial Beach's yesteryear with some modern upgrades! Our house has two smart-TV's, Heat and A/C, Keurig coffee maker, comfortable queen sized bed, and many other amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

To start, I would go back. It was clean and a lovely, quiet location. The yard was great for my pup and the dock was amazing to sip coffee on. I really did enjoy my stay once the hot water kicked in. The host was responsive and accommodating.Important things to note: if it is cold outside, bundle up- the hot water did not work the first day (and never did for the bathroom sink), nor did the heat in the bedroom. This place is COLD and DRAFTY, think semi-camping. The space heater works great, the bathroom heater helped with the bedroom temp, and covering surfaces (walls and floors with pillows and towels in the main area) was a game changer. Also, I’ve never been to a rental without a washer dryer so I missed that fact (not a complaint, that was my bad, just highlighting it for others)
I’d go back just for this 🤍

We had no hot water n bathroom sink or shower Later learned faucet was backwards??There were spiders and spider webs on the porch; no knives to cut anything.. bathroom mirror u can hardly see out of. The location was excellent and we enjoyed the quantiness

It was very important to have a fenced yard for our little dog she is really part of our family enjoyed the use of the pier for veiwing the Potomac and a little light fishing the cottage was very clean and comfortable if we can we would like to return sometime

Cozy with beautiful view

We stayed for a week and had everything we needed.it's great for 2 people. You can't beat the view and its in a nice neighborhood and a golf cart ride to everything. Dan was a great host. There was a storm one night and we lost power and the host came to see if we were okay. He brought us battery powered lamps so we could have lights. The homemade peach jam was good, Love the place.

Great cabin on the river!!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay in colonial Beach! The cabin was very nicely decorated and furnished a well equipped kitchen, and we had great conversation via messaging in person with the owners of the property. We would definitely stay there again.

The only suggestions I have is to be given contact information for property manager.

Property just as presented, is a very comfortable rivah cottage with lots of places one can be on the property with the screened front porch being the highlight of the property.

Wonderful Getaway

Quaint little beach town. Lovely cottage with lots of little extras. We spent our mornings and evenings sitting on the dock. So peaceful. We took advantage of the bikes provided to do some sightseeing. Highly recommend this little place. We will definitely be back!

Adorable cottage with amazing views!

Sunnyside Up cottage is absolutely perfect for a couple looking for a retreat. The waterfront lot lets you enjoy watching the sunrise. The screened porch extends outdoor time. The comfortable and well-stocked cottage makes you feel at home. All on top of being located on the point of colonial beach where there are venues for live music and plenty of restaurants to try.

Charming House in the Perfect Location

We had a wonderful long weekend and enjoyed everything this house had to offer. There were so many thoughtful details (fire pit, bikes, coffee, dog treats and on and on). We loved fishing off the dock and the fully fenced in yard was a huge hit for our fur baby. We can't say enough good things and would love to come back!

Excellent views!

The Sunnyside Up cottage was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there. You can’t beat the location and the river views are incredible. We also enjoyed watching the Osprey build their nest nearby. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Colonial Beach. Thanks Dan for hosting us!

Cozy cottage

Sunny side up was a wonderful place to stay on our visit to colonial beach. It was very clean and a great private dock made morning coffee and sunrises perfect. The bikes were a wonderful feature. Owner was quick to respond. We have a rental ourselves in another state so we are somewhat picky when it comes to places we stay and this is a wonderful rental. Thanks Dan!

Fantastic for One and a furry Friend, too

As soon as you pull up to the multi-car gravel parking spot, you see the care and thought that Dan and Scott have showered on this wonderful cottage. Not only is it well-appointed with anything and everything you might need or want, there are a few delightful surprises, too! Not to mention the design-conscience and delightful furniture layout and decor. Beauty every where you look; Adorned with colonial beach style -which is hard to pull off imo- down to the smallest detail. Folks, the photos don't even come close to doing this desirably-located, fairly priced waterfront cottage justice. What you don't see is a 4-6 person iron dining set with center umbrella surrounded by tasteful rustic beach decor on a well placed, privacy fence All perfect for drinking or dining alfresco. Plus, a seating slab for 4 in the yard with fire pit in center. For more fun, the bikes are brand new and the large pier is all yours with 2 bolted Adirondacks and easy steps to get in and enjoy the river! This place is such a gem, no wonder it's always booked. My dog had a blast running around the fantastic yard, enjoying all the nature. The lights framing the house and the fence, along with 2 led palm trees, warmly welcome you home after visiting the point to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. I could say more, but I think you get the idea.
