We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were checked in at the Club Lounge, where the service has been consistently exceptional. The Club Lounge team especially Upeksh, Prasanna, Wasantha, Damith, Dilshan, and Chain — have been outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, and overall the staff are friendly and attentive.
However, I observed several issues that should be addressed. Internal communication between departments needs significant improvement. On multiple occasions, despite informing the team that we extended our stay, both my wife and I received repeated calls and had our keys disabled twice. This happened four times, and we did not receive an appropriate personal apology, which is expected from a five-star property.
Additionally, some minor health and safety concerns and inaccuracies in menu descriptions were raised, but no one followed up to confirm whether these were being addressed. Acknowledgement and feedback are essential in maintaining professional standards.
Overall, we are still staying at the hotel and would recommend it, especially due to the excellent Club Lounge service. However, operational consistency and communication need to be improved.
