The house was comfortable. It is an older home but is clean and relaxing. The layout is a little strange with both bathrooms side by side, but it was not a big problem for us. The host was excellent about communicating. It would probably be great in the summer because there is a fenced in backyard with outdoor furniture, the beach is very close, and there is a playground for the kids nearby. We were there in a snowstorm, so we didn’t need any of those things. It was reasonably priced. Overall, a nice stay.

Just what we were looking for. Very convenient location, easy access to Coloma, St. Joe, South Haven, Holland. Quiet neighborhood tucked away, but still close to the highway for easy travel.

The Lake House was perfect for us. Our celebration of life was in St Joseph and the home was close enough to all the festivities. The house had all we needed towels, cookware, spices, BBQ and TV for movies. We would definitely stay here again.

We traveled in the fall so the outside looked different with the leaves and all.We never seemed to have time for a fire. There was so much to do around there. Our evenings were pretty much taken up with playing games.( We were all celebrating our 80th so we were home by dark). One thing I really liked was how quiet the neighborhood was. The host left a birthday cake and flowers for all of us. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn't cook but the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Jennifer always answered our questions promptly.

The house was great! It was very kid friendly and we enjoyed the things provided for the stay that we didnt need to bring ourselves (like the PakNPlay!) The location was also fantastic, being a 3 minute drive from the beach was exactly what we wanted!

Nice property

This property is was well decorated and the kitchen had everything that we needed. The owner had great communication leading up to our stay. We were in town for a wedding so didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space, but that too looks lovely. Minor things could use improvement such as one of the beds was very squeaky, one toilet does not refill well and then doesn't flush when needed, and the water pressure in the shower was next to nothing. The shower situation made it difficult for 6 adults to get ready for a wedding. Overall, our stay was great! If those items were fixed, I would consider renting the space again.

Great little getaway

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted a place to get away and unwind. It was the perfect place for us and our dog. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, was very clean and had everything we needed. It was convenient to the places we wanted to visit. Jennifer was the best host, answering all of our questions promptly and giving us great tips on restaurants and beaches in the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Jennifer for a wonderful weekend.

Mini getaway

Great host. Great location. Close enough to St. Joseph and all the parks/beaches in the area. Enjoyed pizza at DiMaggio’s the first night right down the road. Just fyi they are cash only. Great experience.

Sweet little house

This is a sweet little house in one of our favorite neighborhoods. A short drive to Hagar Park for beaching and sunsets and a great yard for roasting marshmallows. The house is quite spacious for its size and there are 2 spaces for hanging out: off the kitchen and the living room. Beds are comfy and the couch in the living room is big enough for everyone to watch a late nite movie. Thank you for sharing this house with us.

Location, Comfort, and Quiet

The house is just a few minutes from Hagar Park so walking the beach at sunset was easy, and oh, the sunsets over Lake Michigan are not to miss. The manager was very quick to answer all my questions. The house was comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We hope to return for our next family get-together. The neighborhood was very quiet and I felt safe as I looked for birds in the mornings. There was quite good bird habitat in nearby wooded lots actually.

Property was good. but VRBO never sent me address/key code. I had to track down the host and communicate with her directly. I am still waiting to get my refundable deposit and the visit was almost two weeks ago. The house itself was nice but basics like a hair dryer, kleenex were not supplied. There were no restaurant menus. there was no book/document that told us where the beaches are, where the restaurants are, how to use the grill, how to use the fire pit on the deck, nothing. Worst, the advertisement said "Two Minutes to Lake Michigan." I rented it because I assumed it was virtually right on the Lake. But it was actually a 4-minute drive, well over a mile away across a busy highway. False advertising.

The house was REALLY nice inside. Very welcoming, decorated and functional. The outside area was perfectly sized, along with a nice deck including a fire pit. Would recommend for certain.

Great spot near the beach

We had a fantastic stay here! The layout was great for our family of four plus a dog, and we really appreciated the fenced-in back yard! Located just a mile from a great beach and a short drive into a charming little town, this house was the perfect spot for us in a quiet neighborhood just off the highway. The host even left an extra leash and some dog treats out for our pup! The house had everything we could have needed...plenty of bath towels AND beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, lots of equipment in the kitchen, toiletries in the bathrooms, extra bedding, lots of pillows, board games and puzzles...so much more than most hosts do these days! We would definitely stay here again.
