Bales Cottage- Walk to historic downtown Cody

Welcome to Bales Cottage! This traditional but updated farmhouse is sure to please, with its open living concept and newly upgraded kitchen! This cottage has beautiful wood flooring throughout and plenty of natural light making for a spacious feeling home. The large living area features a stone-faced gas fireplace perfect for settling down after a long day of exploring. Both the sofa and loveseat in the living room recline for maximum comfort. Central heating and air conditioning provide optimal comfort during your stay.

Bales cottage offers two bedrooms and one bath. Bedroom 1 features a cozy, comfortable queen bed. Adjacent to this bedroom, you will find bedroom 2 that is equally as comfortable, a mirror image of the first bedroom. Between the two bedrooms you will find a clean, modern bathroom containing a shower/tub combo.
The open and bright kitchen makes preparing meals a breeze. Gather around the dining table or breakfast bar to enjoy meals together or go outside to the convenient gas grill and have dinner al fresco!

Bales cottage is located in a quiet, well-developed neighborhood. It is walking distance to historic downtown, Cody's city park and to the world-renowned Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Outside of the cottage itself, there is a large, fully fenced and landscaped yard that you will often share with the town deer. The backyard also features a gas grill and a table.

It was so close to everything in downtown Cody, we walked everywhere! Highly recommend this place. It is our go back to every time I go to Cody now.

We stayed here as a home base for visiting Yellowstone/Grand Teton. The house was beautifully updated brand new. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen essentials, washer and dryer. The owner sent plenty of information prior to arrival. The whole process was super easy, would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect house! I came out on a work trip and brought my sister. We walked in and were in awe of the accomodations, decorations, cleanliness, that it was updated, and that there were no animal (dog/cat) smells! The beds were super comfortable and that was a relief! We couldn't have asked for a better location. Close to everything in town yet I felt very safe staying there. I WILL stay here again for sure!!!

Gorgeous Getaway

This lovely home was just perfect for myself and my best friend while we were staying in Cody. The house has recently been totally renovated and was spotless. It had plenty of room for parking (very long driveway) and was only a couple blocks from downtown. It had a porch on the front of the house and the back where you could overlook the gorgeous yard & watch the deer. The house was well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of towels in the spacious bathroom and a laundry room in the downstairs. Hands down the nicest VRBO property I have ever stayed at. I will definitely be back next year.

Cody Wedding and So Much More!

We stayed for four nights in this amazing, relaxing, spotless home and had one of the best vacations! We couldn’t have asked for anything more from our hosts. If not for the wedding, Cody would not have been on our radar as a vacation spot. But we will definitely be back! Easy walks to downtown, delicious food and beer, and this home to come back to was absolutely perfect! Highly recommended!

Excellent stay at a comfy home in a quiet residential neighborhood, but just a 5-10 minute walk to downtown. Home was just as advertised and had decent kitchen supplies and cookware. Very clean, and host very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolute Gem - Perfect Stay!

This is a newly listed and remodeled property, and everything inside was brand new. So, we were fortunate in that regard. However, as a short-term rental property owner ourselves, with over 200 5-star reviews for our two properties, we can often be a bit critical when staying in another owner's unit. That said, we have no problem saying this home is an absolute gem of a property. It is close to the downtown area and yet located on a quiet back street. It is meticulously clean and well maintained. There was even a deer in the backyard when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with kitchenware, the central air conditioning was appreciated, and it was nicely decorated and thoughtfully furnished. Finally, although the property is managed by a property management company, we found out that the owners actually live close by. This means that there will most likely be an attention to the detail, or a pride in ownership that is often lacking when renting from a property management company. If you haven't guessed it, we highly recommend this property, and would not hesitate staying here again if we return to Cody next year.

The most beautiful house on our trip!

A very lovingly furnished and very clean house. In the laundry room, bathroom and kitchen everything is available in the best quality that is needed. We immediately felt comfortable, would book it again and can only recommend it! Thank you for the nice stay and your hospitality.

Absolutely beautiful home

The pics do not do this little place justice! Obviously recently remodeled, this home is on a quiet street with a huge backyard, easy access driveway and right off of the main drag. Great kitchen, two smallish bedrooms and one bathroom. Large living room and dining room made for a great trip. 100% would stay here again!
