"We had a very long journey and were very tired Olin arrival, we were greeting by a lovely receptionist, it was quite late in the evening so we were thrilled to see the room service options, had a lovely meal, wonderful sleep on extremely comfortable beds, breakfast was delightful as were all the staff. Not really a criticism but the Decor was a bit dated but runs in theme of the Hotel I suppose 😊 Room was very spacious and plenty of storage. Bathroom was clean and the Shower was great, powerful & hot 👍 Towels were nice & soft which I love in hotels. Smart TV which was just great if you wish to log onto your Netflix, Prime, BBCIplayer, ItvX etc or you can use your fire stick....

"We stayed in the Coach House and what wonderful place to stay. The views are lovely. Watching and interacting with the four horses that are in an enclosed field right next to the apartment was lovely. The apartment is a converted coach house and has loads of character. It's open plan, airy and roomy and has everything available if you want to cook yourself, and it also has a log burner. There's some lovely pubs/ restaurants nearby, our favourite being the Dog & Pickle. Excellent WiFi too."

All the staff were very friendly and I was made to feel very welcome, the food was very nice and well presented The Manager even carried my bags out to the outdoor seating area where my sisters were seated. "Beautiful stay! Very comfy family room with a king bed and a single, fan provided as it was HOT! Very small bathroom but very clean with lots of towels. Gorgeous terrace for drinks and beautiful breakfast the next morning. The only suggestion would be the terrace is maybe reserved for residents as we wanted to go in for another drink and it was full which was a shame. But cant blame them, it was gorgeous there! Thank you for a lovely stay!"

The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! "El hotel en general esta bien, esta en una orilla pero chester es pequeño se puede caminar a todos lados. Lo que no nos gusto es que llegamos al hotel por la mañana y nos dijeron que el check in es hasta las 3, que nos podían dar la habitación a la 1 pero con un cargo extra.… lo cual no me parece una buena atención; normalmente si tienen la habitación disponible te la dan sin cobrarte de más. Tampoco tienen baño en el lobby asi que si no está lista tu habitación no puedes entrar ni al baño "

"My wife, son & I decided to have a spontaneous night away (21-6-25) and after reading a few reviews and using google for location we decided to book with the Stamford Gate Hotel. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and answered our questions. The room was good and I was even surprised to see trouser pressers in the room. Something I have not seen in many of years which and made me smile and have a good childhood memory of my late parents. The building looks very pretty inside and out...
