"Really great value, slightly odd location by the motorway which made walking to anywhere tricky, and tired fixtures and fittings (and noisy air con), but the staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was a good size with a desk/dressing table and armchair and coffee table, plus a small balcony, the soundproofing was great, the water pressure was decent, the wifi was reliable and the bed was comfy - and within easy taxi reach of everywhere - all in all incredible value."

"This was my 2nd stay at Al-Madinah. Again it is off the beaten path in a construction contractor area. Then again Muscat does not have an entertainment area of bars, discos, restaurants like other countries. Thus with the exception of the mall hotels few to nothing is walkable. This hotel give a great price for those of you who already have malls at home, so the mall hotels are really not special to you. The only persistent issue is one of the South Asian front desk workers (this is not singling...

"This is a good value hotel in a convenient location - with easy driving access to Muscat airport, city centre, beaches and Al Mouj harbour. There is a large mall and numerous Asian restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was clean, well managed and well maintained. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was a highlight - lots of choice for breakfast. We had the evening buffet and found it was good value with many options. The rooftop pool was welcome after a day...
