"Great little find"

"This is a very old characterful property, with low beams etc. Venue was chosen for a small family reunion and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff were all very polite, helpful and patient which adds to the enjoyment. The food was really excellent and thanks to the chef none of our group had any complaints, Definitely recommend."

The location was absolutely perfect, and having hassle-free onsite parking made our trip so much smoother. "Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. We were able to walk to Highclere Castle from the hotel (20 minute walk) which was great because...

"Lovely hotel. First impressions were good on arrival with polite and friendly reception staff. Also very helpful. The room was very comfortable. The meal at night was also good. We would definitely book to stay at this hotel again"

"I booked the executive room, no air conditioning just a small desktop fan, only one bath towel and hand towel to share between two people, stains on carpets throughout the hotel, no water in the room, tiniest complimentary shower gel and shampoo. In general whole place needs updating, breakfast is very average, coffee and orange juice was just about drinkable, I wouldn’t stay again"

"We were given a top floor room for which I realised I struggled to walk up in addition to the hotel is like a maze and confusing to find and get back to. It was one of a very hot day and the window is quite limited to open to let the cool air comes in. A fan is available. The shower as well is a bit of a tricky manoeuvre to operate. Breakfast is basic including the juice. Coffee is fine."
