Looking for a fun-filled getaway on Whidbey Island? The Quintessa Cottage is large enough for parties of six and quaint enough for a couple's romantic getaway. Start the day off with a thermos of coffee and head out for a hike at one of the state parks, Trillium trails, or Ebey's Landing. If urban hiking is more your thing, have breakfast in Langley and browse the shops or galleries in this quaint Village by the Sea.

There are great beaches and playgrounds for a family-friendly outing just a short drive from the Cottage. If wine or beer is your thing, wineries and breweries dot the island and welcome visitors for tastings. While you are out grab a bottle of your favorite wines and return to the Cottage for dinner, a cozy fire, and a movie. With two TVs there are different options for differing preferences in entertainment.

Finish the day with a warm soak in the jetted tub or stargazing from the private deck. Fall asleep to the sounds of nature in the comfortable beds after a grand day of adventures on Whidbey Island.

This is the adjacent cottage of the main house. There are two other units available on this property that may be occupied during your stay. For exclusive use of the property and grounds, consider the Estate rental.

Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

My sister and I stayed there as we helped and attended a Baby shower for my niece in Greenbank. It worked out just perfectly and we really enjoyed the stay. There was nobody else on the property and we thoroughly enjoyed the grounds. It was beautiful and relaxing, and I would highly recommend it.

Wedding weekend

The Quintessa was the perfect place for our family and friends to stay for our daughter's Whidbey Island wedding!! The house was spacious and well equipped and the owners were easily available to us. We even hosted a large pre-wedding barbecue without difficulty. We highly recommend them and hope to stay again!

Sweet respite

We had a great time in this cozy cottage. It was a perfect location for a small family to get away. The couch pull out was surprisingly comfortable. We loved walking the grounds and playing badminton. The hosts were generous and kind. We loved our relaxing time at the cottage and will undoubtedly be back.

Weekend Getaway - Preview for our October 2019 Wedding!!

Oh my, The Quintessa!! The accommodations, the grounds - and most especially the HOSTS are incredibly amazing in every way! Every detail is so thoughtfully carried out - from the sweet personal touches, the complimentary snacks, juice & water, the pristine cleanliness, the luxurious linens, the variety of sundries available.....I can go on and on. It is perfection. We look forward to sharing The Quintessa with our entire brood of 28 for our intimate Whidbey Island wedding!!

Paradise in WA

Where to start.... This was my second stay at the Quintessa with my I I I I recently stayed in the cottage with my girlfriend. Everything from start to finish with this place was just absolutely magical. The owners were in constant communication with us - email at first and then via text to answer any questions we could have possibly had. They were prompt, courteous, and worked with us to make sure that our reservation was perfect. We stayed in the cottage. Let me tell you, it was a miniature paradise for the two of us. The Cottage: The cottage is extremely cozy. There are large windows in the main area offering spectacular views of the property and the island. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've found myself in in a very long time. There is a fireplace heater in the living room, a provided space heater for the bedroom, and a very efficient wall heater for the bathroom. Our whole stay was warm and cozy. Beyond that, the kitchen is fully equipped, there's a washer/dryer in unit, a tub, shower, and plenty of extra bedding/blankets/towels/etc. The small things: Awaiting us upon our arrival was a sign welcoming us with our names on it as well as champagne glasses and sparkling cider (it was new years). Additionally there was some granola and 2 gallons of fresh water provided just in case you're not comfortable drinking/using the double filtered well water. The owners also gave us their number should we need anything extra (including additional water/etc.). They were even kind enough to leave us some handpicked flowers from Pike Place during our stay. The Island/Property: WOW! The property itself sprawls behind and in front of the cottage offering ample opportunity to explore. Beyond that, it's only a nice 30 minute walk to Maxwelton Beach which offers spectacular views. There's still a ton more to do on the island that we hope to get to next trip. In simple summary: This place is absolutely amazing. Don't hesitate, book now!

Charming cottage

Enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage! We felt like we were in a treehouse, such pretty views from the balcony! We were welcomed with special gifts and signs on the exterior, a very nice touch! Very cozy cottage for our anniversary getaway!

We loved the property. The grounds are beautiful. Carrie, the owner, is very nice and very welcoming. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. But for that price, they could do a few things better: 1. Lack of heat. It was cold and the have one fake fireplace and a space heater. 2. Another TV that works in the main room would be nice (this one plays DVD's only). 3. Wifi that works (we received spotty signals that would disappear).
