    The newly renovated Cameron House Retreat is nestled in the foothills of Northeast GA wine country, and sits at the base of Mt. Yonah, and butts up to the Chatahoochee National Forest, a short walk from our property.
    This sprawling 5 bedroom, 4 full bath home is like no other in the area.
    Our home is located halfway between famous Alpine Helen and historical Cleveland, just 1.5 miles off Hwy. 75, and only 90 minutes NE of Atlanta.
    This area is quickly becoming known as THE premier spot for excellent wines, with more than a dozen local, highly rated wineries for enthusiasts to tour and taste!
    Convenient to restaurants, boutiques, sports activities, nature trails with beautiful waterfalls, scenic drives and quaint towns, Cameron House Retreat is the ideal vacation spot for adults and children alike.
    Kids can spend hours tubing down a lazy river, go miniature golfing, go carting, panning for gold, or enjoy a day at the water park, all minutes away!
    Enjoy roasting marshmallows by a campfire down by a private shared lake, take a rowboat out for a little fishing, a pedal boat out for a little paddling, relax in our shaded pavilion, or just sit on the dock and take in the breath-taking million dollar views.
    With wrap around porches, a hot tub, a large extended back deck, and a warm and cozy environment, our home is a stand-out. With many nooks and crannies, it is small enough to curl up in a favorite corner with a book, yet large enough to secure the privacy of up to 14 adults, and 3 infants!
    Each area has it's own unique theme and personality. The main floor has a fully equipped farmhouse style eat-in kitchen, a den with a gas fireplace, 2 bedrooms, a full bath, a dining room, laundry room, and a large living room with a wood burning fireplace for chilly nights.
    One flight up leads you to the master bedroom with vaulted ceilings and private terrace, another guest bedroom, and full bath, and a private wing that sleeps 6.
    NEW! A 500 sq. ft. detached game room for playing poker, ping-pong, Foosball, pool, and air hockey while watching sports on a 60" flat screen TV! Room for little kids, (big kids too), to color and play board games.
    Be prepared to be enchanted by our relaxing and secluded mountain retreat. And please don't think of it as going away, just think of it as coming home...

We had a group of 16 stay at Cameron House (8 adults and 8 children - including babies) The house was large enough for all of us to have our own spaces and not be on top of each other. Communication with the host was easy and quick. They were very helpful and considerate of us!

Cameron house is without a doubt the best VRBO experience we have ever had! We gathered to celebrate my husband and my 40th with family from all over the country and this house accommodated all of our needs seamlessly. Beautifully decorated, this space truly feels like home. The hosts were such a pleasure to book with, responsive and kind! 10/10 we would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay in Helen was absolutely wonderful.The house was incredibly spacious and comfortablyaccommodated all 13 of us without ever feeling crowded. The layout was ideal for a large family gathering, giving everyone room to relax while still feeling connected.

Wonderful Vacation

The property was perfect and the owner and property managers were so helpful. It is a short drive to everything and the views from the property were amazing. Great for large families.

Check in was easy. Great location to the trails and Helen. The hot tub was awesome. I used it several nights to relax after enjoying the nearby hiking trails. The house was very welcoming and the game room was used every night. Our 2 year old niece used the outdoor played every day. It was a great stay. Would stay at this location again.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay. Owner is attentive, house was as advertised and location was great. The game room is nice, house is big for families to do different things and plenty of porch for everyone.

Perfect location!!!! So close to Helen to enjoy the Helen Christmas Festivities, and still secluded in the beautiful mountains. The house is everything I hoped it would be when bringing the family in from 3 different states. We had small busy children with us and the playground was a huge hit. This house is a 10 out of 10. We'll be back.

We loved this house. It was cozy and eclectic, and perfect for our group of nine—we all had plenty of space to spread out. We took walks through the woods, spent full days on the lake fishing and relaxing, and just enjoyed being there. The host had everything you could need, from plastic bags and trash bags to laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, plus plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. If we had questions, the host responded quickly.We also hiked Mount Yonah, which is just a 5-minute drive to the trailhead, and the views at the top (you can even see the house) were amazing. We’ll definitely be back to this area of Georgia.

The hosts were the best ever for this wonderful property. Fully stocked like no other VRBO I have ever visited. The property and amenities exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Amazing property with breathtaking views

I would give this property 10 stars. Great location and not far at all from downtown Helen. Plenty of room if you have multiple families staying with you. My family will definitely be coming to stay here again!

Great mountain stay!

Plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 kids to stay while playing in a baseball tournament at Yonah Preserve. Hot tub was great for the kids and adults. Beautiful walk down to the pond and great mountain views from the back porch! Robert and Debbi were VERY good about checking in to make sure everything was ok. Extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved how interesting Cameron House Retreat is! Something interesting to look at, read, play and enjoy at every turn! Owners and manager attentive although we had no issues at all. The “how to” manual answered all of our questions. We enjoyed outings to Helen, Cleveland and Sautee. Hope to come back again.

Comfortable, great views and fun times!

The house was amazing with everything you could possibly need. Great deck to watch the sunrise, plenty of room for large group and a game room to have so much fun! Clean, comfortable and Great communication by owner.

Clean and roomy

This home was so fabulous! Very clean and plenty of room. We loved the furnishings. Beds were very comfortable. We loved the game room! We will definitely return.

Family weekend in Helen

The Cameron House was great. The house was larger than expected and provided plenty of room for all our family members. The host was great in responding and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is also in a very good location close to Helen and many other attractions. We had a great time. Will stay again!!

Awesome get away!

We had a wonderful family reunion at this cabin. Room for everyone and the kids really enjoyed the game room. Internet is a little slow, but that is expected in a rural area.
