    Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you within 24 hours of the reservation being made. We will arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.

    We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports. Palmar Sur is closest (~30 minutes) and has one flight per day in/out of San Jose, while Quepos is approximately 60 minutes from San Buenaventura and has multiple flights per day on either Sansa Airlines or private charters.


    San Buenaventura de Osa is quaint, friendly and safe neighborhood. As one of our guests once told us, "This is the authentic Costa Rica experience." There is a convenience store in San Buenas (called 'pulparias') where guests can buy any essential item (soda, juice, milk, bread, razors, toothpaste, toothbrush, napkins, etc), a Catholic Church and several schools.

    Please drive slowly as there are many children in the community. Also, don't be surprised to see a cow or a horse in the road, or a monkey or toucan in the trees.

    San Buenaventura is located 10 minutes south of Ojochal (and all of their amazing restaurants) and approximately 15 minutes south of Uvita.

    It is also located 15 minutes north of Palmar Norte/Palmar Sur. Palmar Norte has several large supermarkets, pharmacies and shopping. Palmar Sur has daily flights to/from San Jose

    This is a home with private access.

    It is behind an unmanned gate with 24-hour, remote control access past the gate, and entry into the home. Guests are free to leave and arrive any time of the day or the night.

    Renters will have full access to the home and the private pool.

    There is a shared rancho (covered grill area) across the street that is shared with two other homes. Availability can be reserved in advance if requested, but is availability on a first-come, first-serve basis (and free to use).


    A private vehicle is necessary. There are neither taxis nor Uber available in San Buenaventura. Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.


    This newly remodeled home is perfectly located in San Buenaventura and only 2 km (1mile) from the Costanera Highway, with paved roads except the last 200 meters. No 4x4 vehicles needed to get here - which is rare in this area.

    Casa Kingfisher was newly renovated with a new couch, a work desk, outdoor table in the backyard near the pool, new dishes, cookware, beach towels, etc.

    Guests love the breakfast bar and the outdoor, elevated patio, with wonderful mountain views as it is a wonderful place to watch the sunrise.

    The Owner's Suite has a king-size bed, patio walk-out to the private pool, A/C, ceiling fan, SmartTV, en suite bathroom, shower, toilet and closet.

    Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized bed and a single bed, A/C, closets and ceiling fan.

    Guests love the breakfast bar and the outdoor, elevated patio, with wonderful mountain views on two sides. It is a wonderful place to watch the sunrise.

    Only 15 minutes to some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches (including Playa Ventanas), Playa Tortuga and the famous turtle sanctuary/learning center, private hiking on-site, 3km walk to nearby waterfall.

    Casa Kingfisher has two (2) Smart TV's. One in the living room/sala and one in the master suite. They have access to Netflix and YouTube and other applications (each renter must use their own personal login credentials).

    Home is located inside Villas San Buenas, which is located next door to Osa Golf Course. Osa Golf Course has clubs and carts for rent and is an enjoyable and challenging golf course.

    This is a great home for short-term or long-term rentals.
    Long-term guests (over 25 nights) are required to pay for electricity and provide a valid credit card upon check-in, to pay for the electricity.

The host was very accommodating. The house is extremely private and close to amenities, but you will need a car. The house has the potential to be very comfortable, bedrooms were great. As for the living room furniture, definitely needs replacing. The pool was excellent and golf was 2 minutes away and excellent.
Barbecue area was great!
The drive up was a little scary but once we got there very relieved.
Pool was awesome.
Beautiful sunsets!

Wonderful place

Check in process was all on line, easy.The pool was awesome and super welcomed.Its a clean and modern house. Only 1 issue.. Ants, just had to keep the kitchen super clean, no big deal. We used our own solution of soap, vinegar and water to deal with them.I would reccomend this house to any one.

Really good!

Kingfisher was a great stay. The team were also very helpful at accommodating a last minute request. The house itself is on the smaller side but had everything that we needed to feel like home. It was clean and the pool was awesome and refreshing after work. They also came to do maintenance while we were there. A/C, TV and internet all worked properly. Two adults were working remotely during the weekdays that we were there so it was critical that internet was reliable and it was, even though there were some small dropouts, they were barely noticeable and weren't really an issue. We only had a minor issue with the main bathroom and it was promptly fixed the same day while we were out. The house is a few KM from the main road but we never felt unsafe while staying at the property. We did have a car though and you'll probably want to have one as the closest beach was about a 15 minute drive from the house. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely consider this house (or others managed by OSA Property Management) when we're in the area in the future!
