The Carriage House Loft at Marion Hall Mansion

This open floor plan loft is on the first floor of an 1897 Carriage House. 1k sf, 12` ceilings, exposed brick and other beautiful elements. Fully equipped new kitchen with MASSIVE island, new bathroom, beautiful modern furnishings and a dedicated work space. This was once the stables of the carriage house of Frank Enger. Mr. Enger’s family manufactured carriages in the 1800s. When Frank took over, he eventually began putting motors in the carriages and ultimately founded the Enger Motor Company.

You`ll find the kitchen is the perfect place to cook, or simply hang out over a glass of wine, and for making everyone coffee in the morning while you relax. You`re more than welcome to enjoy the entire grounds, with various sitting areas located throughout the property. This space is the perfect option for travelling professionals, nurses, doctors, or simply couples or small families looking for a getaway.

We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day.

Our guests will enjoy a private loft in the carriage house stables of our historic home. The 1.8 acre, fully gated property boosts lush gardens, secluded landscape, and various sitting areas around the grounds to enjoy.

Our family lives in the main house at Marion Hall Mansion and are available for anything you might need during your stay

North Avondale has been described as a piece of heaven...right in the city. Some of the grandest homes in Cincinnati grace the winding streets of this historic neighborhood. The homes here represent a wide range of architectural styles dating back to the late 1800s.

We have free parking for one car inside our gated entrance just outside the home. Other cars can park for free on the street.

We are minutes from I-71 and I-75 and walking distance to Xavier University and minutes to downtown Cincinnati. Also conveniently located to many of Cincinnati`s best attractions:

My son and I were in Cincinnati looking at a couple of colleges and sort of picked a few hotel rooms based on nothing more than price and location. For our Xavier visit we saw this room was priced right and it was a unique looking space that was more than just a room with a couple of beds in it so I booked it. Booking was easy and the owners of the property were very attentive. They sent instructions on how to check in and offered recs for food and whatever to help our stay be the best it could be. They shared their personal cell numbers so I never felt I couldn’t reach out. We actually did take them up on their burger rec (Gordo’s) and it was quite good. Otherwise, the space was large and very much enough for my boy and me. There is a bed that would be fine for a couple to sleep in and a pull out couch bed that could sleep two as well. The entire property is fenced in so no worries about car break ins, etc. There are people living upstairs and they are very nice. As noted in the ad, there are dogs on the property, so be mindful of that as at least one of them will want you to love on him or her and you need to be ready for that. It took us just a couple of minutes to get to Xavier and was perfect for what we needed on this leg of our weeklong trip. Definitely a unique place to stay if you’re in Cincy looking for a safe place near fun things to do.
There are chickens near the bedroom window!
Carriage house is part of a larger property where the owners also live. Nice grounds and neighborhood to walk.

Very nice property in a quiet and interesting historic neighborhood. Easy access to the sights of Cincinnati. Very pet friendly and great space for dogs to get out in the yard or go for a walk.Highly recommend.

The apartment is an open floor plan with plenty of space and a fully supplied kitchen. Every area is well lit, including the bathroom. The bed is quite comfortable with additional pillows and blankets in the dresser. The decor is a mix of contemporary, rustic and eclectic. Check in was no problem and there are no check out responsibilities other than returning the key to the box on the outside door! It is very close to Xavier University. The hosts are very communicative. I have no reservations in recommending this VRBO.

Cool Stay in Cincinnati

We loved the carriage house near Xavier University. We had plenty of space plus the bed and bath were both amply stocked. What we loved most was the location as we were headed downtown one night and Riverbend the next. Typical neighborhood near a university. Older homes of all kinds dot the area.

Perfect little getaway!

My son and I were in town for a concert in Cincinnati and there is so much to love about the carriage house loft! The gardens are beautiful and the beds are super comfortable! It’s such a hidden gem!

26th Anniversary

Pictures don’t do it justice, adorable and so many books super clean love the way it’s decorated and a historical neighborhood with a huge houses. The property is beautiful. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone we were only 15 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. We went to hard rock casino and we went to Montgomery Inn restaurant. Had a wonderful time.!!! A beautiful place! Bed was super comfortable also! Had everything we needed tons of towels, wonderful plates everything was stocked well dishes, and everything you needed.
