The space
Recently upgraded and beautifully furnished throughout, this historic and private five bedroom home features a sectioned floor plan with open kitchen, dining area, dedicated work space, and cozy living room with Smart TV.

Fully appointed kitchen with appliances, including stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with fresh crisp new linens, pillows, and bed coverings. Master bedroom features a private en-suite bathroom with soaker tub and Smart TV.

Spacious living room includes a comfy sofa, laundry area for guest use downstairs in the partially finished basement, access to the patio and private backyard through the kitchen, front porch area with seating, free high-speed WiFi, and keyless access.

Guest access
Guests have full access and complete privacy inside the home and may enjoy full use of outdoor amenities as well. Instructions for access, check-in, checkout and directions to the home are provided in the house manual on VRBO. When checking out, please be sure all windows and doors are locked prior to your departure.

The house was very nice and the owner got right back to me when I had a question!It was close to downtown which we liked. The neighborhood wasn’t great and lots of partying outside on Thursday and Friday nights but other then that we had a lovely time

The house was as advertised and they warned about stairs. It had a lot of space which was nice The third floor was chilly due to air conditioner in window that was not well sealed. We were awakened by drunk parties around 330/4 am on two nights. Not the owners fault of course. Nothing extra in the house. No coffee. No condiments. Come prepared. We did have issue with microwave and management company was very responsive.

Awesome house near UCinn campus ( short drive). Very quiet neighborhood. The beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE! Does need more silverware in kitchen, and only one shower ( upstairs only has a tub)

Amazing Cincy experience

It’s was a great space for me and my friends everyone got their own room and we all had a fun time. Close to some really good food spots like Sugar and Spice and close to the venues we went too. Would love to come back and stay here again!

Unpleasant Stay

At first, I was not going to complain until I received a charge of a little over 26 for missing silverware and a broken shower dispenser. Let me say that we have no use for a few missing silverware pieces & the shower dispenser must have already been broken. We took our own shampoo, conditioner, including body wash and did not use the dispensers. It is not the amount of 26 but the principle. This property is not in a very nice neighborhood. A vacant lot beside the property has overgrown weeds and grass as well as surrounding neighbors. There is no driveway so you must park on the street. Upon entering the property the A/C was set to heat and it was 77 degrees in the house while the temperatures during our stay were in the high 70's to low 80's and high humidity. We could not open windows to have any air circulation because most of the windows did not have screens. The windowsills had about an inch of dust and dingy. It is a very old house but that type of dust is not acceptable. It was so uncomfortable we could not sleep. We adjusted the AC to cool but there are not sufficient vents in the rooms to circulate or cool down enough to where we could sleep. The next morning, we woke up to ants in our groceries in the kitchen. We called to report the ants and the AC issue. While the ant problem was corrected, the AC was not so we spent miserable nights unable to sleep much.

We were desperate to spend a few days with our family. The younger children didn’t mind roughing it a few days!A not so nice experience. Will not be using this site again.

Careful

At first, we were pleased and planned on using this property again because it met our needs. We were accepting of an imperfect property. Check-in was easy. The house was fine, although old. Suggested to add additional full length mirrors to all rooms. Mattresses are FIRM. The host will nicely force you to take out 2-3 trash bins on Sunday evenings, or fine you. Careful, the hill you have to take the cans down is tricky, especially when wet. I fell. Also, take pictures of EVERYTHING on arrival and be careful to sit on old furniture. We are now being fined $700 (the max amount) for a joist in the old, worn out couch that we did not break but are being wrongfully charged for. VRBO is not supportive of the guest, only the host. We won't be staying again. Not recommended.

Big groups? Good value.

The house could use some updates and the location is so so. That said, it’s a great value if you have a bunch of people. Walkable to Nippert Stadium, if you don’t mind hills. I even walked to the Zoo which was 30-40 minutes.

I wish I had read my own review before booking

Aside from the beds, which were very comfortable, most other amenities in this place were disappointing - with many falling apart. The chair legs to almost all chairs were loose and dangerous. The couch in the main room was shockingly uncomfortable. Bathrooms were missing complete towel bars - with visible holes in many walls from poorly installed items. The one coffee table in the living room barely held together enough to hold the remote control. There were no additional supplies like toilet paper or paper towels as all were stored in a locked cabinet in the basement. This 5 bedroom house, which can comfortably fit 10 people, HAS ONLY 1 SHOWER and a measly 4-cup coffee maker. Can the next person who stays there look for specific repairs requested here (new safer dining room chairs, repaired towel bars, a couch you can comfortably sit in, etc.) as a sign of the property manager's commitment to improvements? If your experience was as poor as ours was - and specific improvements are not made - you'll know that talk of improvements in the reply section are no more than empty promises.

This Old House

The house was huge in size, (that's what you're paying for). This house was very dated, with lots of stairs. The pictures posted make it look very bright, it's not. There are 4 bedrooms on the third level, as well as a bedroom on the 4th level. The stairs are very steep, not what you want when dealing with people of a certain age. The basement area, where the washer and dryer are located, looks like something out of Silence of the Lamb. Needless to say, we were very disappointed for the amount of money paid for this property.

Nice Place, Some Things to Keep In Mind

We enjoyed staying at the property. The back porch and yard were very nice. The kitchen facilities were up to date, as were the bathrooms. However, there is only one shower (the master bath, on the top floor, only has a tub). Also, while the property is air-conditioned, getting the 2nd and 3rd floors, where the bedrooms are, comfortable enough to sleep in hot weather can be challenging. We had to reprogram the thermostat extensively as it was quite misconfigured, and keep the first floor uncomfortably cold to make the bedrooms acceptable. We also had a poor arrival experience. The electronic door lock was so out of alignment it was impossible to unlock and lock the front door reliably. In fact, we had to use the keys in the rear door lockbox to gain access. This was clearly a known issue, as the check-in instructions, and a hand-written sign on the front door, described the process one had to follow to gain access. I don't like it when property owners are clearly aware of a problem but have chosen not to resolve it. To their credit, after I complained, the management company dispatched someone who repaired the front lock. It's too bad they hadn't done that earlier.

Great long weekend

Property was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was close to art museum, downtown, the university and the zoo. Communication was great and we would definitely stay there again.
