It has taken me a long time to write this review because I struggled with whether to be honest or just let the bad experience stand. After much deliberation, I know how heavily I rely on reviews, so I wanted to come back and be super transparent about my stay. Ultimately, the last-minute find worked for my family and me for Christmas, but there was so much wrong with this rental. For starters, when we arrived, one of the beds was completely disheveled and was not made. While it looked like an oversight, it was a huge inconvenience and forced me to stay away from my family the first night. The host was not immediately available, and the situation was not handled until the middle of the next day. I thought for sure that, at the end of the rental, I would be credited for such a huge oversight. No mention of it and nothing to compensate me. Even the person who came to make the bed (not a regular cleaner for this property) said she would expect some compensation. The host was not local, which would not have been a huge issue, except I think it delayed getting our needs addressed. I don't know if this was because it was during the holiday, but again; did not help with immediate intervention. Towels were not plentiful and we had to buy, which was okay, but something to be aware of. The decor did not match the pictures. The house is full of carpet on the upper level that doesn't look like it's been cleaned. Prioritize this!! Lots of space, but rent at your own risk!
