"We took a hiking trip and stayed in Tara's amazing home. The house was larger than expected and the location was great, about halfway between Ridgeway and Ouray. The views of the San Juan mountains out of the back window made for an excellent breakfast each day. The host is top notch and kind."

We knew the location so brought food rather than drive into Montrose or Ridgway for meals. Hope to get back for a Fall leaf season visit in Ouray County."

"We had a great experience at the Elk Meadows property over New Years. The house is very well done with the kind of high end custom finishes you don't expect from a vacation rental. The straw bale construction is super warm and insulative and the views from the property are unbeatable! Absolutely gorgeous property and house. The driveway is very steep and even given the light snow this year was a bit dicey. People uncomfortable driving in winter snowy conditions on snow packed dirt roads may find...

"Minecart Lodge is a small lodge that has been renewed recently, they had great taste working on it. The rooms are comfortable, very very clean. The breakfast is coffee, tea, oat, muffins, granola bar and fruits. The staff is nice and is pleased to help. There's plenty of restaurants and downtown is close. I felt safe all the time there and there's a firepit in the common area. I'd definitely stay there again sometime."
