Sunflower House on Lake Wissota

Get ready for your vacation to begin! New construction home by award winning builder located on the Yellow River with direct access to Lake Wissota! The bright open concept living room, kitchen and dining room will allow you to enjoy each other’s company as you prepare your meals. Relax in one of the four bedrooms. Linens are included for the queen beds and the 2 full bathrooms.

If the weather is chilly, gather around the fire pit and make s'mores. Firewood is included. Games, books and puzzles are provided for relaxation, and also enjoy the game/poker table. Two Smart TVs allow you to use your personal Netflix or Hulu account so you don’t miss an episode of your favorite shows!

Enjoy the morning sunrise from the porch or the dock, which is only a few steps from the house for easy access. Bring your boat, tie it to the dock and enjoy fishing and water sports all day long.

Take a boat ride to the nearby restaurants or grill your dinner while relaxing on the covered porch. If you’re a nature lover, take a hike through Lake Wissota State Park, enjoy Ray’s Beach, or pull up to an island and play on the sandy beaches! Just minutes from the shops, restaurants, breweries, and wineries in the area.

Family reunion

Lovely home with an open kitchen/dining/living. Very enjoyable and nice location. The only negative was no rail at entry and lake stairs. A gas grill would be very helpful.Take shower soap. Our family had a great time enjoying this home. Thank you!

Amazing week on Lake Wissota!

We had a fantastic week at the Sunflower House with friends! The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. There was more than enough room for 6 adults - several of us ended up having to do a little work while we were there, and there was plenty of space for us all to spread out and have some privacy. We rented a boat for the week and the dock was great, very easy to land. We spent the week boating, hiking the IAT, visiting the state park, and visiting tons of other great places in Chippewa County and Eau Claire. Communication with the owners was great and check-out was super easy. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful week staying at the Yellow cottage. The cottage was clean and the owners were easy to communicate. This was our 2nd time staying there. Was quiet and a nice spot to unwind. Would definitely stay again.

Best Rental Ever!

I don't typically write reviews, but this place was amazing! Most short term rental houses, you can tell they were remodeled with cheap materials and they cut corners everywhere. Not here! The house is gorgeous and all the materials are very nice and installed properly. I was super surprised. It was very refreshing. Everything went very well and we had a great couple nights there. Very clean. I would recommend to anyone!!

Great location

I flew in from California with family from Utah and Colorado to celebrate my Mom's 75th birthday in my hometown. This location was a perfect setting. The house was clean and comfortable. The cookware was not sufficient for cooking for a large group, but we made it work! There was sufficient everything else. We loved it and would stay here again!

Sunflower Haven

The Sunflower home is a very accommodating and lovely place to stay. Our family enjoyed the adequate space to gather which provided an opportunity to really enjoy our time together. Long Weekend Getaway

Great experience

Everything was clean updated and well maintained. We made good use of the Well equipped kitchen. The adults all commented it was a perfect choice. Nicely furnished but not overcrowded, giving my grandson plenty space to run around safely. Definitely recommend this vrbo

Annual Cousin Retreat

The Sunflower House was just as described. The rooms were just the right size, beds comfortable and each room felt like it was a little retreat at the end of the night. Both living room and family/game room were great for hanging out playing cards and catching up on our lives. The kitchen was well stocked with all the comforts of home. Having the binder and pamphlets on things to do and places to eat in the area was a great help. The six of us all agree that we would definitely stay again at the Sunflower House.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. House is a great layout for two families. Everything clean and new. Dock is a bit small, but we were able to park our 21 ft boat at it. Close to multiple bars and restaurants. On a nice quiet street. Would highly recommend staying.

The Hoosier Countryfest Crew

First impression as we walked in was just "wow". The property is beautiful and the owners were quick to respond when we had a question. We had plenty of space and everything we needed. Absolutely a great space with great proximity to Chippewa Falls and the fest grounds.

Wedding Weekend

A group of friends was looking for a place to stay while we were in Chippewa Falls for a wedding. Hotels were hard to find and overpriced due to another event in the area. The wedding was at an apple orchard outside of town, so hotels were also not suitable due to their distance from the venue. I was happy to find the Sunflower House as it was near to the venue, could accommodate our whole group and was reasonably priced. The house was awesome! Cheri and Joel were very easy to deal with and were quick getting back to us when we had questions. Also, we stupidly left some stuff behind and they are able to hold it for us and get it to some of our other friends. I highly recommend the Sunflower house to anyone looking for a vacation spot in the Chippewa Falls area!

Sunflower house

This property was everything we needed. It was very clean and very well equipped. The orders were very nice and accommodating. There was firewood ready to have a campfire, the kitchen was well equipped. If I could say one thing that would make it perfect. Perfect! It would be the steps down to the lake. Could have a hand railing on them. Other than that, top notch.
