Cattail Cottage

This charming, coastal themed cottage was conveniently located to Assateague Island, Wallops Island, and Chincoteague! It was clean, gave abundant information on the area, and in a quiet location. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at our home away from home for a reasonable price!

Practically Perfect In Every Way

The cottage was depicted online as it was experienced in reality. The management company was a blessing when a couple of glitches came up. The cleanliness and location were great. Thanks for a great get away.

Neat, clean, cozy, with a coastal vibe. Just the right size for the 2 of us, although there's enough room for a few more people if needed. Close to shops, the National Park, beach. Wonderful to have the outside shower to ride one or sand before going into the cottage. Grateful for the air condition units.

Beautiful little cottage will accommodate 2 adult couples comfortably with private sleeping & bathro

The harbor checking stated 2 queen beds, but one was a king. Also misleading weather linnens & towels are included or need to bring your own. Everything else was great!’

Cattail Cottage wins again!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I believe this was my 4th or 5th stay at Cattail Cottage. A good friend stayed with me, and the set up with the new bathroom was ideal in that we did not disturb each other. I slept on the pull out sofa in the back room and was able to spread out my work on the table and work at my computer without disturbing Jane who slept in the bed room. I love everything about this cottage!!!

Peaceful Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a welcoming and terrific little rental with a real five-star feel. The rehab of the original cottage is tight and solidly accomplished and the resultant living space is practical and accommodating. The appliances and amenities provided are perfectly adequate. An exterior keyed lock on the sliding side door would be a useful addition. The neighborhood is quiet and private. The owner's passion for the ponies is evident and centers one's visit on Chincoteague Island life. The cattails were in prodigious display this year.

Loved it a second times!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here in Jan of 2022 before the renovation which was so beautifully done! Love the barn door and the vanity with all the storage. Love being able to spread out on the the big table to work. Being able to walk to town and to Maddox in a few minutes is a huge plus. Love the cottage furnishings and all the little finishes which makes it so homey and welcoming. The only suggestion I have, which I mentioned after last stay, was to have a light installed over the sink so that you are not in shadow when working at sink or counters.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the cottage very clean and the location was good. The property owner does need to check for essential supplies. The can opener is broken and would not work and there was no egg turner. I had to go buy both items. Other than that, it was ok. Thanks
