"It is evident the owners have sought to make an upscale place to stay, with little touches (like a nicely decorated lobby with massage chair or the heated bidet toilet seat). When we stayed, there were only another 2 rooms occupied. It was quiet in the room, except for highway noise due to a gap in the window at top due to a good window AC unit. A towel wedged in that gap, plus forcing the AC fan to stay on made for a quiet night's sleep). The house was apparently built in 1881. I wish I knew...

"The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area."

"We had a wonderful time. This huge home was very comfortable for everyone. We traveled with our 4 adults kids and their families. Each family had their own private area, plus there were common areas for all of us to gather. Great place."
