I wasn’t going to give a review, but keep getting emails to leave one. Rooms are filthy. Beds didn’t even look like they’d been changed. The throw had a very dubious stain on it Breakfast was cold, no bacon or proper sausage. Restaurant toilet I don’t think has ever seen bleach. I’ve seen cleaner work site toilets. All I can say, it’s a good job it was a lads weekend away and not a weekend away with my wife

We actually found this hotel and swapped it for our original one after seeing it was over £100 for 4 nights, bargain! Staff were lovely, polite and really accommodating. I saw a few bad reviews complaining about the noise, but it is on a main road so it is to be expected and in all honesty, the noise isn't as bad as you'd think. The rooms were clean and cosy, can't fault a bit of Netflix on a smart TV.. Lovely stuff.The bathrooms were spotless, and I'm fussy about them. Another great quality is, that it's 5 minutes away from the city centre and even a 24 gym which you can purchase a 3 day pass for £16.99. The bus stop to go to Chester zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium is also right outside, just accross the road.. Highly convenient. We will be returning!

Absolutely made me feel welcome and at home very affordable and the food was excellent and great value with a great price! Nothing is a problem they will always listen and accommodate your needs! Parking and location is brilliant in terms you are central to all locations and walking distance to bars and restaurants..

Want to make a official complaint I stayed before for one night then the clean room as thought was going but oaid in June 140 to stay a other night on the 6th June 140 for 1 other night on top of night before this time we stayed Monday to Friday paid I asked could you change the dates to Saturday you said no yet had space but then the rooms had not been cleaned throughout the stay with my Son no toilet paper gt 1 ran out man gave us some after I asked told him we need clean towels went out to Chester afer the first night stay only put 1 clean towel on the bed not 2 the bin was full due to my Son having to have drinks and crisp and some cakes not once was the room cleaned ever and the bin was full that all the rubbish was all over the corner by bin 3 lots over flows of a small bin that was over full by four loads carpet was not hoovered at all the entire room never cleaned from the Monday to the Friday left all the rubbish no toilet paper no clean towels did not get hand towels only 2 to use again and again through out our stay if had not asked for 1 but needed 2 on second night would never of got nothing made us use the dirty towels and no tea bags or sugars given in room to make a cup of coffee or tea of a moring even tho also had food at restraunt and had breakfast but the toast was fried bread so stopped having the breakfast never seen one cleaner thru out the stay or to clean other rooms too I usuals go Witt booking .com for 15 yrs but been using your websight at Thailand

Et hyggelig hotell rett ved sentrum. Stil og opphold henger ikke helt sammen, men en fin plass å overnatte for et par dager. Badet var litt slitt og nesten tett rør i dusjen.

The place itself was good to have parking available. The staff did not appear to know what they were doing. there was only one cup in our room, there was in fact 2 of us. We asked a staff member for another cup and she was unable to find one then said she would send someone to our room with a cup. a man appeared asking if we had a coffee pack so we then had to wait again for him to bring us a cup. The staff did not appear to understand English very well. The room was very small but was decorated nicely, for a 2 night stay I guess it was OK. It was a long walk to the center of Chester and the shops. Once in Chester it was lovely.

This has been taken over and we didn’t like it at all. Used to stay to go Chester races. It No longer sells any alcohol. Food is limited. Late check in so not suitable for people who book to stay at races. The bedroom given was like being stuck in an attic room. It was scorching hot as was having an heatwave, and was a small dingy window. Door was left open to breathe a was told was not allowed. It looks ok downstairs in cafe area where has been renovated, but is very quiet. There is no longer any garden. There was no toilet in room and it’s right down a corridor. We were having a heatwave a the toilet/bathroom has no window and they had heating on full an it wouldn’t switch off. I am disabled and it was up a few flights stairs to get to corridor and unsatisfactory room. Next to the bedroom is a kitchen they use and the smell of a night were probably food was cooked smelt in bedroom strongly. Some Staff tried to be helpful somewhat when checking in, but wasn’t much they could do. We liked the original George and dragon and most of the reviews are from that time, when I would stay frequently for races but won’t be staying again. It was not suitable for me but maybe for others. Location is quite good as not to far to walk into town.

Horrible place. Never seen that free toilet roll advertised. Windows so opaque through filth and shut (no fresh air). So hot, not able to sleep. Very noisy both from within as people come and go and without from boy racers and police sirens. No front desk. Ring a mobile number if there is a problem but only until midnight. It advertises a picture of a small garden with tables and flowers. That does not exist. I could go on but suffice to say, I'd rather sleep under North Gate than there again. I hope this helps.

We were greeted by a mobile number to call to get someone at the front desk as the whole downstairs of this establishment is currently mid refurb which we were not notified of before arriving for our stay. so there is no bar or pool table or anywhere to even just grab a drink. Had we known thia we wouldnt have stayed here! The rooms are very basic only 2 pots of milk for coffee and tea.

Early days at George and Dragon

I didn’t have a kettle or mug to start with and tv didn’t work but a device was purchased by hosts to make it work . The new mattress was too hard an orthopaedic type for me as I have arthritis. Up 4 flights of stairs was tricky leaving with my case. Lights were on everywhere even when no one in sight
