Relaxing retreat situated in the Snowbird Mountains on the popular Snowbird Creek, ranked in the top 10 for trout fishing in North Carolina.

This cozy cabin features a rocking chair front porch with views of open fields and mountains. The front yard is perfect for throwing football or playing games. The private road is flat and great for kids to bike or to take morning walks. As you enter the cabin the open floor plan is ideal for family gathering. WiFi, Satellite TV and board games are provided. The Kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are on the first floor - one with a king bed and one with a queen. Full bath upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs loft area has a futon, TV with dvd player, two twin beds. The back deck overlooks the creek with outdoor tables/seating, propane grill, and hot tub. Enjoy family cookouts, unwinding in the hot tub looking at the stars or hanging by the firepit, all with the sounds of the rumbling creek!

Located only a few miles from the cabin, enjoy boating at Santelelah Lake, taking a ride on the Cherohala Skyway, winding the curves on your motorcycle on the Tail of the Dragon, hiking in the Joyce Kilmer Forest, and so much more! Tubing, waterfalls, white water rafting, kayaking….the outdoor enthusiast will be as close to paradise as they can get!
For stays 10 days and more a 50.00 cleaning fee will be added.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The river is right out the back door. The back porch has gates at each stairway, there is a baby gate for the stairs inside. The front yard is nice and big, our pets are welcomed and there is even a water bowl on the back porch for him. The home was clean and the host is so kind. I don't think I seen my son but for a breif moment, as he spent all his time fishing at the river. We definitely are looking forward to coming back!

Had a peaceful and relaxing stay at this home. Very comfortable, well stocked, and offered the seclusion I hoped it would. The creek is amazing and is the ultimate sleep soundtrack at night. Front porch, with all the rockers, makes for a fine place to read or have coffee. Water gets good and hot for showers. Love the proximity to the Skyway, as I trailer my motorcycle along for these western NC vacations. I hope to stay here again. Really was great. Extra respect to the property owners for it being dog-friendly. I don’t travel without my buddy, and he loved it as much as I did.

Relaxing Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! We caught a few trout during our stay, down the trail beside the cabin. We had all of the linens and cooking supplies we needed. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub while the kids played board games some nights. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek, it was not deep,so I did not have to worry too much and relaxed on the back porch. We all enjoyed watching several rabbits play in the grass in the evenings out front while swinging or rocking in the chairs.The master bed was very comfortable. It was really great. My only concern at all was the door locks, I have an 8 year old that sleep walks sometimes, so i was very afraid that he may wake up and walk outside during the night. The locks worked, but from inside you can open them just by turning the handle. Luckily he did not, but a dead bolt would have eased that mom fear of mine.

We had a great week at the property. We had 2 trucks with trailers that fit nicely in the driveway. We rode motorcycles all week and had an awesome time on the local roads as well as hours long rides. The hot tub was a nice way to relax after riding all day. Clean and spacious cabin was perfect for our stay, and being next to the creek was a nice touch. There is a bridge that connects the driveway to the main road that looks challenging the first time you ride across it but an experienced rider won't have any issues. We will definitely try and return in the near future.

Superb Mountain Getaway

This was an amazing property to get away for the weekend! The location is perfect, the river behind the house was serene. We enjoyed using the hot tub and gas fire. It has a really nice fire pit area, too. Very comfortable accommodations! The Host is very responsive as well.

Mountain Cabin Griever Family Vacation

Beautiful property very clean and comfortable. We loved sitting on back porch listening to the creek. My son and Grandsons fished everyday from property. Made a trip to skyway. Went to Otter Creek Trout to catch trout my Grandson Jackson caught a six pounder. Went to Cheoah beach highly recommend. We highly recommend this property and the owners were very responsive and caring.

Amazing Cabin!

Our family of 6 vacationed to Randy’s cabin a few weeks ago and wow!! What an amazing cabin! The entire cabin, super clean! Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were super comfy and ample room for all of us to spread out. The upstairs was perfect for our two teenage boys to chill and relax in their own room. The spa was super! And our kids walked endless times up the road to the bridge, threw on their tubes and tubes down to the cabin. Amazing!! Thank you Randy!! We LOVED our stay in your amazing cabin!

Perfect 30th anniversary getaway!

Perfectly situated by a large creek in a quiet community, this cabin was just what we were looking for. The cabin is comfortable, charmingly decorated, and well stocked. Communication with the owner was easy. Sitting on the covered back porch with a cup of coffee, listening to the creek was a favorite part of my day. The property is also close to Lake Santeetlah, which is gorgeous! After 30 years, I finally found a place my husband loved! Haha

Anniversary trip

We had an amazing time. Even though we had 2 rain days it was amazing to be be out and about and we had so much fun. Beautiful views and came home to a warm hot tub to watch the stars. Well worth the trip

Amazing vacation

My boyfriend and I have been traveling to the mountains for many years now and book a cabin each time we visit. This was by far our favorite place to stay and will 100% be coming back to stay again! Super cute and clean cabin with the river running a stones throw away from the back porch. we had coffee every morning outback listening to the water flow love the feeling of seclusion, even though there are some cabins in the neighborhood. We hope that no one ever builds on the lot right next to the cabin so it keeps the peacefulness of it. Highly recommend and owners were awesome to communicate with. We cannot wait to come up and stay again soon

Epic getaway

My family had a great time at the cabin. Wry private. Fishing behind the house was better than expected. We had several double digit days. We did have a couple days where it rained but we’re able to tube from the bridge to the house on the “faster” water. Whitewater rafting and plenty of hiking areas nearby. It’s a great place to get away. Owner was very responsive to questions. We would definitely return. Thanks!

A perfectly located serene cabin

The cabin was just perfect for our family of four. A big yard where the kids played soccer. A stream right outside the cabin where the kids could dip their feet in and try to fish with my husband. A firepit for us to sit around at night and eat s'mores.The cabin had all the basic essentials we needed. I especially was happy this cabin was bug free and had such nice mattresses that weren't too hard or soft. The location of the cabin is serene and perfectly located. We had so many adventures during our stay. We went tubing at Bryson City and stopped in to view the train museum. We rented a pontoon boat and went swimming at Lake Santeetlah. We went on a several hikes nearby with my 4 year old and 8 year old. The Joyce Kilmer Memorial Loop is a must see while here. We had such a wonderful time just being together and creating many family memories.Thank you to the hosts for making our family feel welcome.
