Balsam Mountain Cabin with waterfalls and a great year round view

Enjoy a peaceful getaway in a custom built cabin in the Balsams. Located in a small very private gated community with views of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. From the large deck you can take a cat nap, read a good book, or enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner while listening to the tranquil rushing creek with waterfall. Take advantage of the waterfall trail located on the property. You will enjoy spectacular views from every window . Secluded, but just minutes away from downtown dining and shopping in Waynesville, Sylva, or Cherokee and Skiing and Elk reserve in Maggie Valley! You will be a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This will be your new favorite spot! Perfect for a weekend getaway or a week of solitude. Please note, the road to the cabin is paved halfway then turns to a well maintained gravel road. This is a mountain road and does not have streetlights. The road is wide enough for two cars to pass. 4x4 is not necessary. Please be aware of arriving at night the cabin driveway may be harder to locate.

What a fantastic way to spend Thanksgiving...cabin was perfect for our needs...the view spectacular...location ideal..road up the mountain..fantastic..all topped off by our very own waterfall..Crawford..the homeowner so friendly and accomadating!..will be back this way again soon...thanks for the hospitality!

Beautiful clean cabin, gorgeous view. I would give it five stars, but the water lines were frozen the first night we were there. Wasn't a big deal, we figured it out, and the cabin owner offered to let us stay at another time to make up for it.

Wonderful place to stay

We loved this cabin!! You can hear the waterfall while you look at the mountains relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the COOL breeze in July!!! And falling asleep to hearing the waterfall is a bonus! Sylva is a cute town, and we were able to go visit four waterfalls easily in a day, an hour’s drive. Asheville is also close. Highly recommend

Spent an enjoyable week at Balsam Mountain Cabin. Awesome view along with the sweet sound of cascading water. Location convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Sylva, & Waynesville/Asheville. Great communication with the owner & property manager. Will come back when get a chance!

Exceeded expectations, again!

This was our second visit to this beautiful home, and it was as comfy and relaxing as we remembered. The view from the porch is beautiful, at all hours of the day and night. We spend most of our time just being. Reading, painting, listening to music, taking in the view. So peaceful. Our visit was exactly what we needed. Thank you!

Breathtaking

We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin was well stocked, cozy and extremely comfortable. While we were there, the temperature was the hottest so far of the summer but the cool mountain breeze kept us very comfortable with the windows open and the fans on. We had fun playing at the waterfall and watching the lightning bugs come out at night. The owner was very responsive and easy to reach. We hope to return soon. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay.

Memorial Day long weekend getaway

This cabin was amazing! The views were breathtaking! We had such a wonderful time in this cabin. The view and sound of the waterfall/stream made it hard to leave. You have everything you need to relax and reset. Short drives to Bryson City and Waynesville. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay, clean and well stocked property with a lovely view. The signage could have been a little more visible to help us find the cabin the first time. Lovely Christmas lights added a nice touch.

Adorable Cabin with a Great View

Adorable cabin with a great view, close to other hot spots such as Cherokee and Asheville. Short walk to the small stream that flows down the mountain, which was a peaceful place to sit. We observed a few crawdads and salamanders and just enjoyed the ambiance. Would love to visit again when all the tree leaves change colors. 10/10 would recommend anyone take a trip there.

Solitude

I’ve stayed at this cabin five different times. It is on the side of a mountain with a beautiful view with the sound of a waterfall that can be heard on the porch. If you lead a busy life this is the place to escape it.
