The Cotswold Stowaway, Perfect Luxurious Retreat!

Welcome to The Cotswold Stowaway which is a brand new and luxurious studio apartment with a modern and spacious ensuite. Situated in the ‘golden nugget’ Stow on the Wold, heart of the Cotswolds!
We are located within a 2 min walk to the centre of Stow where all amenities, pubs, shops and restaurants are located.

The Stowaway backs on to a private drive which offers walks around Maugersbury and the surrounding rolling countryside where you can take in magnificent views.

The space
There is private parking outside in front of the Stowaway. There is also free Wi-fi and Netflix. There is also a King size bed with a TV that pops up that has all the digital channels along with Netflix just incase you decide to retire to bed early! The en-suite has underfloor heating to keep your feet warm on chilly mornings along with a heated towel rail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The sofa bed pulls out to reveal a Hypnos mattress for the best possible nights sleep should you require extra beds!

Near to Perfect Bathroom

Such a cute little property, experienced both wet and dry weather. Perfectly polished. If you’re not ready for traditional English home, this place is a good compromise. The barn style still made it very much Cotswold like. Getting there was super easy via train & bus. Our route was Paddington station > kingham. Busy stop is up by the parking lot, the 802 bus routes to Library for us. Walking to the property was short and nice. In American walking perspective, we walked 2 San Diego blocks. The barn is enough space for my family 2 adults & 1 child. You definitely can get away with 2 adults occupying both beds. Utilized main bed and pullout couch and both were so comfy! Appreciated the extra blankets and pillows. We had a foldable stroller, so it was easy for us to get up and down the Entrance stairs. Not ideal for wheelchairs. Kitchen was immaculately presentable. The trash bin was hidden which we appreciated. The fridge was stocked with some water, milk and wine. Instant coffee was made available and French press to use. Now the bathroom. Was so perfectly heated, it was the most perfect experience. I could have stayed in there for hours. The room stayed heated and the towel warmers and heated floors worked so well. Great water pressure and complimentary cotton, shampoo and shower gel were given. Towels were clean and enough for our two night stay. Lee, was very responsive. Instructions were very clear.

Modern apartment with very good standard of fixtures and fittings. Nice welcome pack left by the owner. Excellent location in centre of Stow. Some difficulty contacting owner at times with no information in the property about appliances like tv and microwave, also no guidance as to where one would dispose of any rubbish.Another little addition would be a side table by the sofa.

Wonderful Stay In Stow

The Stowaway was exactly what we needed for our visit to the Cotswolds. It was clean & comfortable & well located for walking to restaurants & shops. We had a car & there was easy parking. Highly recommend!

Perfectly adorable!

We were so pleased with our stay at the Cotswold Stowaway! Quite honestly, the photos do not do it justice. It was even more adorable than we thought it would be. They have decorated it so lovely. We were amazed at how they thought of absolutely everything and designed it in a way to make it feel quite spacious, even with 4 adults staying there. The location is awesome. The back gate leads you right to the main street of the little town. It was perfect. Should we ever end up taking another trip to the Cotwolds, we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for Short Stay or Extended Getaway

I would definitely stay here again. We stayed over the Easter weekend and it was an wasy walk to St Edward’s church, the Porch House, The Bell at Stow, shops … Check in and check out was easy. Communication was timely. Off street parking. We used the fold out sofa for my 6’ tall nephew who said he was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed * thanks for the treats! The bathroom… amazing! Heated floor and towel rack, auto open skylight. We loved your place and hope it’s available next time we travel to the Cotswolds. Super clean and safe. Thank you so much!

Perfect for Cheltenham

We stayed in Lee’s property for the Cheltenham Festival and - at the risk of never being able to book it again - it was perfect. In addition Lee was very flexible in accommodating our request for an extra evenings stay on the Friday, to celebrate our winners with a meal with friends at The Old Butchers.

Amazing place to stay!!

This property is 5+ stars. Location is central to the town, lovely shops kitchen is well outfitted, I cooked while we were there and was perfect. Nice touch of the goodies in the fridge to have on arrival and milk for tea/coffee. Host is easily accessible for questions, Quiet neighborhood, awesome bed, slept well, bathroom amazing! Found laundry service for Travelers in Burford (Burford Laundry) highly recommend. The local butcher, cheese and wine shoppes awesome! We will definitely be back to visit. Thank you to our host Lee!!!

Small but perfectly formed sums up this delightful property. The owners were very helpful and were readily available if needed. The bathroom with a heated floor was the star along with a bed with a built in TV. Centrally located, a 2 minute walk to the centre of Stow. Very enjoyable.

Perfect stay in the Cotswolds

My husband and I recently stayed at The Cotswold Stowaway and we were over the moon with this beautiful little place. It was exactly as described on VRBO, beautifully decorated, along with being immaculately clean with wonderfully fresh smelling linen. It had everything you could need with a fully equipped kitchen, a table neatly folded away so as not to take up any unnecessary space and a very spacious bathroom with the added bonus of underfloor heating. Lee and Rebecca were wonderful hosts and were very quick to reply to questions prior to arrival and were on hand during our stay if needed. Stow-on-the-Wold was a lovely little place to visit and we had a perfect couple of nights away. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the The Cotswold Stowaway to anybody looking for a break in the country.

Favorite property EVER

This apartment was my favorite property we’ve ever stayed in. The unit was so clean, so thoughtfully designed & very comfortable. There were high end finishes like a touch button shower, retractable blinds on the sun light & heated floors. The kitchen amenities were perfect and there was even milk in the fridge for us with coffee and tea as well. The bedding was very comfortable, even the sofa bed was very comfortable. Everything was immaculately cleaned & we honestly didn’t want to leave. Great job with creating this lovely space!
