  • Devon House Cottage is a beautifully refurbished holiday cottage which sleeps four guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms, with a family bathroom and ensuite. On the ground floor, the open plan living/dining space has been stylishly and lovingly furnished and has a cosy log burner for the colder autumn and winter evenings. The fully equipped kitchen caters for your every need, a great space to rustle up a home cooked meal. The quaint garden is an ideal area to sit and have a morning coffee and plan the day ahead. Devon House Cottage is situated in a superb central location and within walking distance of the wide variety of local shops and eateries in Stow.

    This two bedroom holiday cottage in Stow-on-the-Wold is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and its attractions. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

A Wonderful Cottage In The Heart Of Stow

This is a delightful little cottage with all mod-cons. It is very comfortable and quiet being situated down a little no-through lane. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre’s shops and restaurants. If you like walking, there are plenty off off-road walks too.

Cosy and warm

We were very pleased with the cottage. It was beautifully decorated, cosy and warm.The beds were especially comfy. The only downside was the tight parking space and there weren't any instructions for the dishwasher etc.

Great long weekend

We stayed in Devon House Cottage during a cold and wintery period, which was perfect. The house was cosy and warm. There was everything we needed to have a comfortable stay: The kitchen was very well equipped, bedroom was cosy, lounge was really comfy. I liked the stylish radios in the bedrooms. The location is great: parking in front of the cottage and only a short walk to the highstreet and Tesco. Can definitively recommend.

Short Cotswolds Break

A great cottage that we spent a few days at to explore the Cotswolds from that is in the quieter town of Stow-on-the-Wold. The cottage was very lovely, with a great kitchen and comfortable and clean furniture. The bus was within walking distance and reliable to get to the other towns nearby.

An ideal place to stay in Stow on the Wold

We were so thrilled with our cottage. It was a quick walk to town but far enough away for solitude. The 2 bedroom and 2.5 bath was ideal along with the parking space in front. The cottage was comfortable, roomy and so so clean!!! Loved it and would highly recommend.

Five glorious days

We spent five glorious days in Devon House Cottage in Stow and my favourite part of the holiday was… being at home! The cottage is so well designed, beautifully appointed and clean. It was such a joy to just relax there with my family. I will be recommending it to all my friends.

Excellent weekend stay

Lovely cottage a quick 5 minute walk from the centre of Stow on the Wold town centre. Perfectly located for a weekend in the Cotswolds. Cottage is clean, modern and very comfortable and suited 4 adults very well. Parking is easy and instructions very clear for access. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great little cottage in central location

We very much enjoyed our short stay in Devon House Cottage. The cottage is well-presented with stylish and premium quality fixtures and fittings. The furniture in comfortable, good water pressure in the shower and we felt warm and cosy. Devon House Cottage's quiet location is less than a five minute walk from the centre of the village where there is a very good choice of places to eat. We recommend The Old Butchers.

A wonderful place to stay.

Devon House was a great choice. 5 minutes to walk to market square. Every thing we needed for our 6 night stay. One let down was the stains on our bath towels , slightly off putting. Every thing else very clean. Please be aware there is no washing machine.

Excellent short break

Everything was perfect from initial booking through to our stay at Devon Cottage. Booking was easy and excellent communication when asked questions. The cottage itself was immaculately presented and had everything you could possibly need. Two off road parking spaces and an EV charger made life very easy. The location of the cottage was just a short easy walk into town, which offers a great selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. Overall a great few days away that was enjoyed by all.

Beautifully presented cottage in great location

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Located in a quiet residential area just five minutes walk from the main square. After I booked the property I received an email to say that the washing machine had been swapped for a dishwasher. For me, a washing machine is the preferred option. Apart from that, I would recommend this property. It’s a great base for exploring the area.

Relaxing break in a beautiful cottage

Our stay at Devon House Cottage was wonderful. The initial booking with Stay Cotswold was really easy and the staff were all very helpful. The cottage is immaculately presented throughout and the decor is stunning. We particularly loved the lounge area with the wood burning stove. Cosy on an autumn evening. Two beautiful bedrooms upstairs, both with extremely comfortable large beds. The bedside tables had easy accessible plug sockets and USB/C sockets built in - really handy! Off-street parking for two cars (with electric charger) and the ideal location, a two minute stroll and you are in amongst all the pubs, cafes and shops Stow has to offer. Lots to do both in the day and evening time. I would highly recommend Devon House Cottage. We will be back!

Beautify cosy cotswolds

Devon house is in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Based within a short walk into the picturesque Stow on the Wold and a drive to other local villages. The house itself was a little tricky to find in the dark even with ‘what three words’ and is based down a narrow drive where you will find a gravel drive. It has an electric barge point payable by the app id needed. Devon House was warm and welcoming, had a lovely homely feel. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Has washing liquid, sponge, kitchen roll, loo roll and hand soap. Also had some useful salt and spray cooking oil if needed. The lounge was lovely, we do try to light the fire on two occasions and it didn’t seem to have enough oxygen so unsure if the flue / chimney may need a clean as it wouldn’t stay lit. It has several shelves full of books to borrow to read and also had a Cotswold monopoly game however this was sadly broken and an email was sent to the team with a quick response. The heating was also easy to use. The bedrooms were large rooms, one with an en suite one without. Came with enough pillows and had a homely feel. One room had a hairdryer. You will need to bring your own toiletries, however that isn’t an issue. There was plenty of space to be able to store bags in the wardrobe under the hanging rail.

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location.

Such a beautiful cottage - tastefully decorated and so warm and welcoming. Excellent location - short walk to the village and a great starting point to explore The Cotswolds. The attention to detail at Devon House Cottage ensured that we had a comfortable and memorable vacation. The perfect end to our three week holiday throughout in the United Kingdom.

The Perfect Cotswolds Getaway

Wonderful cottage with lovely interior. Everything was immaculate and great to sit out in the garden enjoying the evening sun. Excellent location to all the shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend a drink in The Porch House and Sunday dinner at The Sheep. All in all,a fabulous long weekend
