Other classic Cotswolds destinations include Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold (both within 12 miles), both of which boast riverside walking trails, independent boutiques and plenty of traditional tearooms. Keen historians have a choice of National Trust sites nearby, including Lodge Park and Sherborne Park Estate, and the remarkable Chedworth Roman Villa (both within 9 miles).
