With 135 acres of rolling farmland and a commanding 1/2 mile of water frontage at the mouth of the Tennessee River Gorge, the views are simply without compare in the Chattanooga area. Sitting on a hilltop against a wooded area with a creek, the views from Fryars' Green over our 135 acre farm and the Tennessee River are simply breathtaking. This property is a charming and tastefully renovated split-level rancher with five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. It includes a second large living area and a second kitchenette downstairs. Enjoy wood-burning fireplaces upstairs and downstairs and the outdoor fire pit. Enjoy a stroll on our miles of walking paths along the river and through the woods, bring your kayak for a paddle. This property is also pet-friendly, so you may bring your furry friends to join you in your fun on the farm. Located only 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga and in Lookout Valley, you are a short drive away from Lookout Mountain attractions and the many attractions and restaurants offered in charming downtown Chattanooga.

Girls’ trip

Beautiful, spacious, very well-appointed home in a gorgeous quiet location. Very conveniently located close to Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga and Monteagle Mountain and State Parks with lots of fantastic hiking! We had the most wonderful time!

Beautiful Location, Great Home

Home was very well appointed and spacious, and the property and views were outstanding, especially at night and at twilight when about 15 deer came into the valley each evening.

There were 17 of us.We had a great time and more than enough room for everyone. A Gourmet kitchen, all the bedrooms were nice and very spacious. We will be back.

Family Christmas

With a family spread out and the illness the country has dealt with lately, we do not see each other much. This was a wonderful weekend to come stay under one roof and enjoy a good family Christmas. We strongly recommend this place.

Relaxing Stay

Very nice house and property. The location is extremely relaxing and scenic. The house was clean and had plenty of room for a large family. The kitchen is very spacious and well laid out. I would absolutely consider this location for a future stay in the area. Its close enough to the city to not be a taxing commute and remote enough that it affords privacy and a very relaxing atmosphere.

Thanksgiving Family Time

The property was perfect for outside activiites. We loved the view of the field with the hay bales and the walk to the river. It was also so convenient to Chattanogga sites. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Family trip

Our family from toddler great grandchildren to 70+ grandmother were in town for a wedding. We made use of the entire house for 4 days and wish it had been more. The house was by far the nicest place I have ever rented. The accommodations were lovely, everything was just as described and the host was superb. A great time was had by all.

Graduation Trip

We had a bunch of family from different places coming for my daughter’s graduation. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms . and lots of place to hang out together in the living room/dining room/ kitchen. Everyone thought it was a great house.

Quiet Location, Roomy House, Comfortable Beds

Wonderful house with plenty of space for 6 adults. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the convenience of ensuite bathrooms can't be beat! The grounds are perfect for a dog that can't wait to chase a ball! He ran for hours! Location is convenient to Lookout Mountain and St Elmo.

Thanksgiving celebration

The house was perfect for our family-there was enough space to eat, play games and make crafts together. We all went on hikes on the property and enjoyed seeing some wildlife like deers and different species of birds. The kitchen was perfect for the preparation of our Thanksgiving dinner. We had many cooks involved. All in all it was a very special visit for all of us.

Perfect Family Weekend

The house was great. We had 16 people and didn’t feel crowded at all. We loved that is was out by itself. We always do a big family weekend in January. The house had a lot of great features- kitchen is large and floor plan is open and spacious. If we return to Chattanooga we will definitely book again.

Good home base for a conference

Our group consisted of 2 couples and 4 men. This house perfectly accommodated our needs, offering both privacy and community. The facilities were very clean and well-kept. The neighborhood is semi-rural, with the house overlooking a beautiful meadow and river. Early morning and evening walks were very enjoyable. The host responded quickly to any pre-check in questions and was available by phone any time we needed.

Family Gatherings

The location was excellent for our Christmas gathering. The house was able to house us. It was older and had age issues but was clean. If you have older individuals, there are stairs which needs to be considered.Since the house is promoted for large groups, I expected a larger supply of paper towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper. Not a deal breaker just observation. The agency was very responsive to our heating issue and matter resolved quickly. Nice place for large gatherings. Also place accommodated family pets which was a plus for us.

Wouldn’t stay again

The property was nice appearance wise but was hardly decorated for Christmas and isn’t as secluded as the post leads you to believe. We also had trouble with the heat working. Management did bring heaters and wood but it was cold the entire time and you don’t expect to be cold after paying so much money for somewhere. The hot water would barely work. Half of my group couldn’t even shower. I definitely wouldn’t stay again. I’ve stayed other places for half the price thay we’re a lot nicer and we didn’t have any issues.

Great location needs maintenance

The location is great, and beds are comfortable. However, there are several maintenance issues with the home. We contacted the office about the thermostat not shutting off the heat when temp was met, a leaking tub and the downstairs TV not connecting to the internet and was told they would come fix them. We never heard from them again. Due to slow drainage in another bathroom and the leak we were only able to use 2 of the 4 showers. It is best not to count on the sofa bed near the laundry room due to the mattress sinking into a folded form. The water heater is slow to recover, and the refrigerator leaks. If the house could be well maintained, it would be a fantastic place to stay.

A Dream Come True! PERFECT!

1st review too long; so, succinctly: MORE than enough space for 8 adults and 2 boys! Each family group had its own bedroom and bathroom, with 2 adult men sharing a hall bathroom! Dining space to accommodate all ten of us comfortably at the table! A dream kitchen with a huge fridge, great stove, air fryer, multiple coffee makers, pots, pans, and more dishes than we needed. Roasting pan for prime rib! Dishwasher, of course, LARGE deck ideal for games we brought. THREE large sofas, allowing us room to gather for games and conversation. Washer & dryer, covered patio, fire pit! The dream come true? I have been dreaming of our entire family gathering since our last attempt was cancelled by COVID, then family health crises and deaths. On several occasions, most of us had managed to gather, but I dreamt of having all 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 4 grandchildren all under the same roof. THIS was my dream-come-true, and this home was PERFECT. We spent most of our time together, with only 2 outings: aquarium & railroad museum. We cooked one large meal, then ate out for 3 dinners and 1 breakfast. We were able to nap when others played. As soon as I entered the house, I KNEW I had found the PERFECT home. The main floor alone provided the PERFECT area to be together, and we all had spacious & comfortable sleeping areas. Yes, larger groups will fit; but a smaller group can live it up, with space to spare! Hosts were quick to respond!

USASA Adult Soccer Tournament

Fryar's Green was perfect for our group! The open kitchen/dining floor plan was perfect for everyone to hang out together. There were enough beds for everyone. The pull out couch near the laundry room needs a new mattress ;) The location on the map makes it seem far from downtown Chattanooga, but it really is quite close - only a 20 minute drive to get to everything! Everyone loved the quiet country setting with the incredible views across the fields down to the river.
