"When we booked this property we based it off of a 9.4/10 rating and pictures available. We found out the day that we checked in that the reviews giving the 9.4 were “external” reviews and could not be accessed. Our first impression was not wonderful because the unit is on a street with vacant and some run down homes. When entering we were hit with a very strong musty odor. "It worked out fine for our needs but we were a little surprised when the bathroom was a separate building and this perhaps tainted our view. Bed was comfortable and the host provided a great breakfast. The weather was chilly so a nighttime trip to the "outhouse" (a nice bathroom but separate) was intimidating. They provide an in room commode making it just like old times on the farm.Great remote location in a farming community."

"Mark was a fantastic host! Super helpful, personable and kind, he helped my mom and I carry in our bags and we enjoyed pleasant conversations with him. Heck, he even picked us some delicious fresh cucumbers from the garden!
The property was beautiful and well maintained. I felt very safe and comfortable here. Any time I visit the area, I think I've certainly found a diamond in the rough that I will be renting again! My favourite part was the dock and remembering how beautiful my home community...

"I am very sorry for the delay. My mother (age 92) truly enjoyed her stay. It was peaceful and true to the pictures. Every room was clean and the location gave all the comforts of home. Thank you for allowing mother and I to celebrate her birthday. If God willing see you next year."

"I had the two suites at the Marigold, with my son and twin 14-year-old grandsons. They were beautiful, comfortable suites in a friendly and interesting small town, and were able to accommodate my compact wheelchair without difficulty. This was my second visit and I wouldn't hesitate to go again."
