This is a three bedroom house on lake Erie in Merlin, Ontario. This cozy home is perfect for guests looking to get close to Lake Erie with amazing views throughout the day. The house has a large patio door giving clear and spectacular views of the lake. There is no direct access to lake from the backyard because of cliff. However, there are beaches and marina nearby. 50amp car charger available for EV vehicles.

A quiet getaway with old friends

Since we turned 50, my old friends and I get together for a long weekend to reconnect, catch up, and enjoy each other's company over food and games. This home away from home was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and as advertised. The home is situated on the lake and has a large yard to enjoy the outdoors. The furnishing indoors were very comfortable. We enjoyed our time here and recommend it highly.

Good property, but missing lots of small things.

The house, furniture, bathrooms, and appliances are in good shape. Backyard is quite large, the view is beautiful, and the firepit is in the right spot to see starry skies and hear the waves crashing. Unfortunately, lots of small, niggling details hurt the experience. Only enough basic cutlery for one meal for 6 people, and cookware is very mismatched and missing some pretty essential pieces (no cookie tray for the oven?). Constantly doing dishes because the dishwasher tabs were hidden in a basement closet and didn't find them until the last day. A sign asked for furniture to not be moved at all, but the patio furniture was tied together and positioned in an awkward way. Basketball but no net, badminton racquets but no net either. No directions to where a good beach is (property is on a cliff that isnt climbable). Asked property manager if we were able to check in early, and they said it was ready to go. Arrived to find the cleaning crew who still needed 30 mins to clean. It was lucky that we didn't show up a couple hours earlier. Overall a great place and experience, but it could be so much better with a little more attention and care.

Quiet and Pleasant

This property was pleasant, quiet and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There were small challenges with entry (incorrect code provided) and wifi (no provider specified) but the owners were able to help sort it out. We have a few suggestions. Blackout curtains and bedroom mirrors would be helpful as well as a small table, shelf or dresser to put things on in each room. There was no bedside table or light downstairs. The living room curtains/blinds were broken.

Beautifully peaceful location

We celebrate Fathers Day every year with siblings and decided to do a quiet trip rather than our usual high octane adventure, property is fabulous and very quiet. We would recommend for anyone wanting to get away from it all. Host is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Emaculately clean, plenty of amenities, excellent service and communication with owner. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a quiet getaway. Will definitely return.

Lovely house on Lake Erie

The property was very nice. A modern house on the Lake with lots of amenities. A little isolated if you are looking for shopping or restaurants. Was great for us.

Awesome property and mesmerizing location

It’s a very well maintained property with great neighbour hood. Mesmerizing view of the great Lake Erie from the backyard. Kids enjoyed the games in the basement. Definitely recommend it. We’ll be back again for sure.
