We got our check in information about an hour before.This may be normal but it gave me a bit of anxiety not having the information in more time.We walked in the home and it smelled like smoke, which was interesting because it mentioned no smoking on the premises.I contacted the host to let her know so we wouldn’t be charged.We didn’t get a chance to look over the home until later than night due to dinner reservations so close to check in. BUT when we did..there appeared to be mold or some black stuff in the tub,the tub had scum in it like it hadn’t been washed.The shower head was disgusting.There was a dead roach in the lip of the shower.There was hair in both beds that was not ours.The smoke detectors were popped out in all rooms upstairs, some had a battery and some didn’t. Hence the smoke smell when we walked in, I don’t think the place was cIeaned thoroughly before us.I sent the host a message and we called customer service.None of us felt comfortable showering in that bathroom. We were on the phone with customer service for an hour and a half it was 12AM when we left the home to stay elsewhere. The host refunded us all but 1 night stay, when we didn’t even stay the night. We planned to leave the home at 10 that night but had to stay there on the phone with support so we were penalized. Customer support issued a refund for the one night stay. Support was awesome and understanding. However we will not stay at this place again.
