Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Babas on Cannon, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

Room and location were fantastic! It felt a little small after we had stayed for a day in the spacious 205 room! But over all it was fine! Bed was so comfortable! We will stay there again if given the chance

This is a first. All of the Vrbo hosts we've had in the past have been exceptional, until this one. This studio is illuminated by lights recessed in the ceiling. The ceiling lights are important because the two very small lamps on nightstands by the bed are wholly inadequate to light the studio. On day one we informed our host that the ceiling lights weren't working. The reply we received stated we should turn the lights off and on and "they should be okay". Our host must have been an IT help desk worker at one time. We did that. It didn't fix the problem. We then told our host that simply turning the lights off and on hadn't fixed the problem. Nevertheless, we were told three separate times by our host on the first day that the light "just needs a little rest". At the end of day one we turned the lights off for the night and left them off all night. When we turned them on in the morning at the start of day two they didn't work, of course. We again told our host of the problem and he said he'd "share this to the team" and "keep us posted". Eight hours later, no repairs and no updates. The morning of day three our host said the technician was scheduled for today. Toward the end of day three the host informed us that the team had been unable to fix the light and he could have lamps dropped off instead. Seven requests for repairs over three days resulted in a belated offer to bring lamps on the afternoon of the last day of our visit. Totally unacceptable.

Fantastic!

What a fantastic getaway! The fire tower studio is just the right size for couples. Its location is super convenient, with easy access to all the excitement of downtown Charleston, plus a budget-friendly Lyft ride to the edges of town. The price was definitely the best value downtown. We really enjoyed having a private porch—perfect for sipping coffee in the morning. The shared rooftop terrace was an absolute highlight, offering beautiful views of the city. We had many lovely evenings there with cocktails, and it felt much cozier than the bustling bars nearby. Just a heads-up, there are a couple of bars close by that stay open until 2 am, but closing the patio door helps minimize the noise. It would be great to have an ice maker in the studio or building and an extra parking spot for easier loading and unloading. Overall, it was an amazing trip! We can't wait to return and stay here again!
