Couples love this sweet thing, just a block to the beach

Me, You and the Sea…if that’s your definition of the perfect Folly Beach vacation then the Chill Shack is the one for you.

The smallest of our Shacks, the Chill Shack is also the coziest…and some might argue the most charming and romantic as well. There’s plenty of room for two with the Queen sized bed. 2 heartbeats maximum.

The Chill Shack is located right in the middle of all the Rathershack action. Like the other Shacks, you are just a short walk to the beach but you can also sit outside your Shack and lounge in the sun in your private fenced courtyard.

While the Chill Shack is cozy, you will lack for nothing. The open kitchen and living room allows you to interact with your guests while you make dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. Chances are good though that you may prefer fixing your dinner on the gas grill that’s right outside your front door and dining al fresco under the Folly Beach stars.

Don’t let the small size fool you — the Chill Shack has everything you need for a perfect Folly Beach vacation.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! It was clean and the perfect size and location to be able to walk to everything! Check in was simple and beach access was so close it was perfect! Our first time to Folly Beach but definitely not our last. We loved eating our breakfast on the front porch!

We had an excellent stay at the Chill Shack! This was the absolute perfect beach get away with an ideal location! The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Although the air conditioning was not working properly during our stay, the host was incredibly attentive and quick to get someone there to fix the problem. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! We look forward to coming back in the future!

The location of this property was key because of its proximity to the beach! Within steps to the beach. Great manicured yard with outside shower. The inside of the cozy costal home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Honeymoon Spot!

We loved the quick walk to the beach, the hospitality from the owners (and neighbors!), and being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops. We are already planning our next stay at the Rathershacks.

Nice little getaway for my sons first vacation as adult

My son and his girlfriend went for their first vacation getaway together. He said it was very nice and clean and they were able to check in early which was amazing! Good location to walk to all the restaurants and beaches. Overall he had a great time and made great memories!

Simply Amazing!

We were in town for a wedding and found this gem in our search for a place to stay. This place is amazing - from the attention to detail inside that catered to anything & everything you need. The amenities were amazing and the property was just gorgeous and flawless. Proximity to the beach is perfect and just navigating around on the island. Outstanding Accomodations

The check-in process was excellent along with a video showing exactly how to get into the unit. When my wife and I open the door and stepped in, we could not believe our eyes and how beautiful this place was. Completely remodeled and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay at Folly. The owner was nothing but accommodating and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and informative of the area. I will go back for sure to stay at this rental.

Great spot on Folly Beach

In town for a wedding. Property well maintained. A short 1 block walk to beach, 2-3 blocks to all the shops and restaurants and ~25 min drive to downtown Charleston.

Another Perfect Stay at the Chill Shack!

My husband and I have stayed at the Chill Shack over the past few summers, and I can’t possibly say enough good things about the RatherShacks and Kat & Sam! The recent refresh of the Chill Shack decor is absolutely gorgeous. As always, the space was impeccably clean and spotless when I arrived with plenty of fluffy bath towels and comfy bedding/pillows in the bedroom. The check in process was a breeze and it’s so nice knowing that Kat & Sam are always nearby with a helpful hand should you have any questions or concerns. They are always extremely kind and very easy to get ahold of should you need anything. Between the lovely accommodations, wonderful hosts, and having the beach and the best that Folly has to offer just mere moments away, you can’t go wrong! Thank you for another perfect vacation!

Cozy Beach Cottage

The cottage has been renovated and was even nicer than we expected from the pictures. It's a block from the beach and 3 blocks from the center of town. We walked everywhere. So close to Bert's market where we picked up everything from steaks for the grill to a nice bottle of red wine to have with them. The ice cream is really good to. We loved the beach, not too crowded and the water was so warm! Sam and Katt were a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Place to Chill Out

This was a cozy place to chill out close to the beach. While it is small, it has all the ammenities I was looking for including a grill, a comfy coutch, excellent shower, and well stocked kitchen.

Beach Turkey Time

Property was very clean and especially appreciated the dedicated parking space so close to the beach. Slight discrepancy between online listing and actual configuration relative to breakfast bar in kitchen, but not a deal-breaker as a large screen TV had been added. Very spacious and overall very accomodating features; overall, an A !

Chill shack exceeded expectations - Beautiful cottage and newly renovated

The newly renovated Chill Shack was awesome and exceeded our expectations. The quality of the cottage was excellent. The owners Katt and Sam paid attention to every detail. From having everything you need inside to beach chairs and beach towels for outside. You can’t beat the location steps from the beach and a short walk to town. Clearly there was a lot thought that went into making sure our stay was excellent. It was our first trip to Folly Beach and we are glad we stayed here. We would stay again at this location “Chill Shack” or one of the other Rathershacks. Thank you for a nice stay.

We Love Folly Beach ❤️

This little place for two was perfect for a much needed getaway. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, bathroom towels, beach towels and kitchen towels provided. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils dinnerware and cookware. Everything we needed as we prepared most of our own meals due to my husband’s special diet. The grill was just like the one we have at home and we used it every day. The yard and landscaping was beautiful and well kept. You can tell the owners take pride in their rental. The beach access was just a short walk away. We took a short walk every evening to enjoy the local music and a cocktail. The owners were very kind and we definitely will come back again. Make sure you go up to the end of Ashley Avenue to Morris Island where the lighthouse is. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you Katt and Sam!
