"Was in town for a concert in LaCrosse. Julie was so nice. She contacted me a few days before our stay and even the day of to see approximately what time we would be there to check in. Since we wouldn't be there til after the office closed all instructions were sent via text. Room was neat and clean with everything we needed. Check out was super easy. "We came to do some biking in the area. I was concerned we had booked too far from Lanesboro, but it was perfect. The drive is beautiful from there Houston has a really nice bike trail, too! We visited several towns in the area and this home was a great place to come back to each day. We stayed our trip at the Houston Visitor Center, since we got to town early. "Enjoyed our weekend at the renovated Exchange Building. Very cool to see how the owners have maintained the wonderful character and created clean, inviting spaces. Was just me and my partner and our unit was set up well for two people. Coffee shops and restaurants very close by. Very clean and well kept space. I would describe the vibe overall as minimalist with furnishings and in-unit amenities, but it worked for the two of us just fine."

"Nice little place near the river and railroad tracks. Some oddities with the place, front windows allow main street to see right into your kitchen (there are blinds). There is no living room to speak of, and you have to go out the front door and around the building to get to the hot tub. Otherwise a very nice place with a well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom, and good amenities. Great location in walking distance to bars, restaurants and a winery tasting room."

"Most of our family grew up in Winona and gathered at our mom's house. She passed away last September so we needed a place to stay. The Village House Inn was PERFECT! It is a beautiful place with a large gathering space and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a chance to share meals and memories and it was a wonderful setting to do that."

"We enjoyed our stay at this completely renovated farmhouse. The owners put a ton of work into modernizing the house into a fully functional house with all the amenities while keeping the charm of the original home. The highlight has to be outside. The adjacent gazebo and fire pit are awesome. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a rural getaway or family gathering."

We only used the master bed and although it is quite a soft mattress it is very comfortable and great pillows (which we never find!)
