"This cottage has a really nice vibe very clean and ideally situated for visiting Thirsk and the local communities. The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. "Fabulous room, only slightly let down by empty picture hooks and non working lights. Bed is 2 singles pushed together which made it difficult to cuddle up, but otherwise very comfortable night."

"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

"What a gem - in quiet village - our go to place to stay to visit Designer Outlet and York city the next day - staff extremely welcoming and helpful - cosy country atmosphere -our second stay and will be going back to try the super menu for Sunday lunch - thanks team for making our stays so perfect every time !!!"

"Beautiful Hotel, fab food, breakfast amazing, clean comfortable beds room was a bit cold on arrival and took a bitbof time to heat up,but, there was an oil radiator in the room. The staff are fantastic, welcoming professional and helpful. "
