"The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)"

The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. "My second stay here. Good base for visiting the surrounding area, short walk to the town for lots of eating and drinking options. Hotel restaurant has a good, varied menu. Nice big hardstanding car park, staff friendly and helpful. Good size room. Plenty of storage. "

The place was so good that I still give it 5 stars even though the breakfast experience was less than expected. Breakfast menu is fantastic - nothing much I can think of that wasn't on the menu. "Parking was easy and plenty off room , we also got in our room early which was a bonus as we were at a wedding there . Had a lovely wedding but only down side very limited hot drinks in the room and a biscuit would have been a nice touch. Also the bar was very expensive for alcohol drinks and some people with us who were driving got charged £12 for two large cokes . "

"Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...
