"Quirky from the outside but nice inside. Comfortable and clean. We were in a room next to the pub so we didn’t have any noise except from guests using the hot tub and they quieted about 930. Only issue we had was it was warm so we wanted the windows open but the staff used the space by our window as a smoking area. We were able to open after they left for the night. Small nice kitchen with convenience store across the street that had basic groceries for all meals. "

"This hotel's exterior doesn't even hint at what's inside. The area is spacious, flowing and absolutely lovely in the lobby and Waterfront restaurant. We drove all over Ireland for the past 2 weeks and this is the only hotel that had a shower curtain so the floor wasnt flooded (those half walls do nothing, especially when you can't adjust the showerhead to not spray outside the shower stall) and a bathroom exhaust fan so the mirror didnt steam over. "Avalon House is top notch! It felt like a cozy inn. It was very clean, had excellent staff/service, and included free and easy onsite parking. Breakfast was excellent, as was the pub/bar area. We would definitely recommend and would stay again."

"Lyrath was a gem! Beautiful inside and out, the staff was very accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and our room was more than spacious and comfortable. Would definitely return and plan some “downtime” just to enjoy the hotel’s amenities!"

"We had an amazing experience at the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny! The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but what really sets it apart is how perfect it is for families. There’s Jurassic Newpark adventure park attached with a variety of animals to visit, which our kids absolutely loved. The playground and large inflatable were huge hits and gave us plenty of time to relax while the kids were entertained for hours. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed...

"We had a lovely one night stay recently for a wedding we were attending in the rivercourt hotel, it was amazing value for money. The man dealing with us on check in was so so kind and chatty, we had arranged early check in prior to our stay and this was absolutely no problem which was great. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. Such a great stay we will definitely be back again. Denise & James. "

"Great location for getting around. Room was really spacious and liked the communal kitchen. Staff were very helpful and brought my wife’s glasses to our room after leaving them in the bar. Nice place "

"Host was friendly and helpful providing suggestions and directions to the area. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and tasty food. Area was quiet but only a 20minute walk to the town centre making it easy to explore the area. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks "

"The location is fantastic. Very close to all the bars and nightlife but not in the noise of it. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was huge, (could have included beans though).. Only downside was the shower curtain. It just stuck to you when using the shower making it uncomfortable. "
