"I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. "

"We were given a room at the rear of the hotel which was in a converted annex. This was nicely decorated with basic amenities although we did have a shower and a bath. The accommodation was on 2 floors, with the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. "The hotel was ok for our 2 night stay. Bed was comfy. Tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, iron were all good additives. Bathroom toilet was a little small but ok. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was good. But a bit pricey. Walls a bit thin, guy in next room snoring and we could hear."

"The rooms were very clean, however we had a disabled room but only shower with no chair in for the disabled person. The staff were very helpful and did get a chair for the shower.
