"Quality of food served in restaurant. Expensive for highly processed portions eg frozen dipper style chips with a meal of fish and chips and my partner had the fish pie that looked and tasted like a budget frozen meal available from a supermarket. However reception and serving staff were very friendly and efficient. Bathroom needs up grading. Old style mira shower over a bath and no handrail for additional support The setting was superb. Sad that the hotel doesn’t live up to present day...

"Great check in from courteous staff we arrived early than check in time as we were attending a nearby wedding staff were helpful leaving our cases in the room and giving us a place to change . We got back just after midnight and found the room clean with a comfy bed a good night's sleep later and the breakfast was great one of the best. Well done to all and it was a pleasure to stay there "

"I was at a lovely room with plenty of space and good amenities but the shower head was mouldy and mostly blocked. It is a nice place and something like this really made the visit less enjoyable."

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows were like sleeping on a brick, the first room the window catch was broken couldn't lock the window had to request another room, the building itself is in a terrible condition, windows need replaced got mould on the seals, toilet pan well the dust dirt removed from the base of the pan. A building that needs a good overhaul. "
