Situated on a working sheep and beef farm, this detached cottage is found just a short stroll from a range of sandy beaches and boasts stunning views over Fleet Bay. The charming town of Gatehouse of Fleet is a short drive away and offers a wide range of places to eat and relax. There are many attractions in and around the immediate area including the popular Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre, home to one of Europe’s longest zip wires, the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre and Cardoness Castle. Do not miss a trip to Cream o’Galloway for a fun day out for all the family. The area has many walks available ranging from scenic coastal walks to forest trails. With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by, there is sure to be something for everyone. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, there are many beautiful gardens to visit including the National Trust’s Threave Garden. Close to the Galloway Forest Park and central to five of the 7Stanes mountain bike trails, it is a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers. Kirkcudbright, known as “the artists’ town”, is only a short drive away and attracts many visitors throughout the year, drawn in by the harbour, the historic high street and the diverse range of visitor attractions and annual events. The popular programme of summer festivities culminates with the spectacular Tattoo, an event not to be missed. Beach 200 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub 5 miles and restaurant 4 miles.
