In the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site, you will find this charming little house in the medieval center of Castino, near the castle. Entirely restored maintaining the historical characteristics. The private garden offers several suggestive fresh and sunny spaces. You can enjoy the famous wines al fresco, prepare a tasty barbecue, or simply relax in the sun. On the first floor you will find a modern kitchen, a romantic fireplace near the ancient dining table, a comfortable sofa bed and direct access to the garden. On the second floor you will be amazed by the historic furnishings. Beautiful double bed, modern bathroom with shower, sunny terrace overlooking the walls of the ancient church. A two minute walk from the center of Castino, you will find a grocery store, one with fresh pasta and local gastronomic specialties, two bars, a tobacconist, a typical restaurant and a renowned pizzeria. Twenty minutes from Alba, the capital of the White Truffle and ten minutes from Cortemilia, the capital of Piedmont hazelnuts. In about half an hour you can reach the lands of the famous Barolo.

Wir waren Ende Mai für eine Woche hier. Der Empfang von Roberta war sehr herzlich mit vielen Tipps für die Umgebung. Das Haus, der Garten und die Lage sind fantastisch. Es fehlt an nichts, den Aufenthalt zu genießen und das Piemont zu erkunden.

Sweet Stay at Hibiscus of Gautier

Mariangela and Roberta are wonderful hosts of this adorable, well stocked apartment. We spent six nights here and enjoyed the beautiful garden and all it offered, including the BBQ! Morning coffees on the balcony before we ventured out to explore the area are one of our favourite memories of our time in Castino.

Charmante Ferienwohnung in toller Lage

Wir haben uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt in der Ferienwohnung in Castino. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, ruhig, perfekt ausgestattet, gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz zum Entspannen und Erholen. Der kleine Garten und die Terrasse sind besonders schön. Alles in allem der perfekte Rückzugs- und Ausgangsort, um Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Umgebung zu unternehmen. Die Vermieterinnen waren überaus herzlich und hilfsbereit - vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Home base

Great property in a cute village! Easy access to vineyards and Alba. We spent three weeks, using this as our home away from home. It was the perfect place to relax (it was so quiet!) and the garden was fantastic! The location in Alta Lange was perfect. It was rather warm in Alba, but perfect when we went “home”. Roberta and Mariangela were amazing hosts, and a pleasure to work with!

Wir waren das zweite Mal zu Gast bei Mariangela und Roberta in ihrer Ferienwohnung Hibiskus von Gautier.Wieder wurden wir herzlichst empfangen, und in der Wohnung fanden wir alles vor, was man für ein erstes leckeres Essen benötigt. Danke dafür!Alle Räume sind gemütlich eingerichtet und super sauber, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Und das große Bett lädt zum Träumen ein. Bleibt noch der schöne Garten zu erwähnen, der mit viel Liebe gepflegt wird.Das Dorfleben in Castino hat uns sofort wieder begeistert, besonders das lebendige Treiben in der Bar und die beiden freundlichen Damen im Alimentari. Auch wenn man kaum italienisch spricht.Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unsere beiden Gastgeberinnen.

Idyll innen im Haus samt Gartenpur.

Sehr schön, erholsam. Im Dorf muss man das Haus in einer Gasse schon suchen. Parkplatz ca 80 m weg bei Kirche. Schöne Ausflüge, Weinberge, kurvige Straßen, Alba und Asti besichtigen lohnt sich. In Wohn-und Schlafbereich alles da, super Bett, alles sauber, in Küche alles da. Toller großer Kühlschrank. Idyllischer Garten. Freundliche Gastgeberin..

We had a great stay, the house was lovely and so well equipped - it had everything we needed and a few extras touches from Mariangela and Roberta. Thank you for the wine and Pasta, it made our first night so easy after a long drive. Communication was excellent and such a warm welcome and great recommendations from Roberta. Piedmonte at its best.

Mariangela’s lovely home became our home away from home quickly and easily. It was warm, inviting and so peaceful. The perfect final leg of our trip. The community of Castino was delightful. The people were friendly and welcoming. We were the only strangers in town yet we felt right at home. The apartment was clean and well appointed. And Roberta was delightful, greeted us warmly, and helped us with our every need. Mariangela and Roberta communicated with us promptly when we had questions or needs. An absolute gem!

Wonderfully restored property in old part of Castino…. Beautifully presented with everything that you need to stay for 1 day to many more! Added bonus of a secret garden for your personal use with table & chairs plus sun loungers. Communication with the owners was perfect and they were very helpful on places to visit & eat in the area. Spent 3 nights here , walking and visiting the truffle festival in Alba (worth a visit if on!) . We can definitely recommend this property and hope to be back as there is so much to see and do in the area! Thank you so much!

Ferien in einem schönen Dorfhaus

Das Häuschen ist ganz entzückend und für zwei Personen hervorragend ausgestattet. In dem kleinen Garten haben wir uns gerne aufgehalten. Das Dorf hat alles, um Urlauberherzen zu erfreuen: Restaurant, Alimentari, Pasta fresca und natürlich auch eine Bar. Ca. einen Kilometer vom Dorfkern entfernt kann man die ausgezeichneten Haselnüsse der Familie Scavin im Hofladen kaufen. Die Restauranttipps der Vermieterinnen waren Gold wert. Das Städtchen Alba haben wir sehr genossen. Wir können dieses Wohlfühlhaus nur weiterempfehlen. Angelika und Horst Mertmann

Romantisches Haus mitten im Dorf im schönen Piemont

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in Mariangelas entzückendem Haus verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, der Garten ist wie ein kleines Paradies. Von Castino aus haben wir sehr schöne Touren mit den Rennrädern unternommen. Abends konnten wir im Dorf an der Bar den Aperitivo nehmen und entweder in das sehr gute Restaurant oder in die ebenfalls ausgezeichnete Pizzeria gehen. Mariangela ist eine sehr herzliche und unkomplizierte Vermieterin. Grazie mille, era una settimana perfetta. Monika
