"Exceeded expectations. The staff team were really friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and great coffee. We ate breakfast and dinner and had great food.we also atexat the bistro opposite which was great. Will definitely stay again. "

"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

"A lovely property in a good location, comfortable, clean if a little dated in some places, breakfasts very good and the restaurant is very good. Great location for train and bus station and the town centre and lovely views over the town, would highly reccomend to anyone. Also very handy parking if you get there soon enough."

"Bar was good, albeit with a very limited range of hand pump ales. Also it didn’t have available the bottle of Chardonnay I ordered from the wine list. Breakfast offerings from the buffet and menu were very good. However, the fish chips, and mushy peas I ordered one evening (£18.95 on the menu) were simply awful in every respect including quality and portion size. Several other nearby establishments charge the exactly same price for a far superior version. That aside, the location is excellent,...

"The staff was very welcoming, especially the blonde woman on the front desk. She made our stay very memorable. The hotel itself was aesthetically furbished. Their spa facilities are impressive very modern and very relaxing. Paying for parking was the only issue. Other than that what a wonderful stay. Thank you"

"So i irrived to a bed. Good start. Anne franks attick would be the ritz compared to this. Tv didn't work, heater didn't work, dispite me being advised to plug it in by the lady on reception. This turned out to not be a problem as she worked out how to put the heating on permanently for the next 2 day. Breakfast on the 1st morning wasn’t something id normally spend 7 quid on as it leaked oil from everywhere, i didn't have a 2nd Breakfast as the other guest sitting with his 4 pint cans of Stella...
