Wonderful view of the lake and just minutes from the entrance to Letchworth State Park. Spacious, open living and dining area with kitchen. Two comfy bedrooms with quality linens. One bedroom has a king. The other bedroom has a queen. The living room has a full size sofa that would sleep an additional guest. Washer and dryer in kitchen. Gas grill and an awesome fire pit with seating and hammock. Wood provided. Pet friendly.

Host was SUPER responsive. She replied very quickly to every question. Her notes and signage inside were very helpful - and answered many questions. This is a cottage and has a few quirks, which we found endearing. The beds were very comfortable and the electric blankets were a game changer and allowed us to drop the temp more at night. We slept very well. All furniture was comfortable and little that I could suggest to improve. Did not take advantage of the outside fire pit as we were gone most days and at night we were more than happy to toast our toes by the fireplace furnace. This was a first visit and it will not be the last. I highly recommend staying here!Jim

We had a very nice time. The cottage was very cute. And it was very nice of the host to stop in to introduce her self.the view of the lake was beautiful. We wish there was a way we could have sat by the water. But being on the porch w as good.

It was a quaint experience staying in this small, yet comfortable cottage house. The house is well kept and the furnishings, including the beds, are very relaxing for a good nights rest. It also has a beautiful view of Silver Lake from the living room, which is wonderful to wake up to in the morning. It’s a little too close to other waterfront properties to my liking, but nothing that would deter me from staying here again. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while visiting Letchworth State Park, Silver Lake, or just looking for a quiet getaway.

Cottage is rustic & charming. Nicely decorated with original paintings. Is stocked with everything you may need. Comfy bed. We sat outside on the porch drinking coffee in the morning while viewing the lake. 10 Minute drive to Letchworth was perfect. Host left a flyer from Daryl's Pizzeria which we ended up ordering from. Food there was great too! Would definitely recommend staying here if you need a place near hiking areas.

The cottage looks small and rustic from the outside (although well kept), but it feels spacious inside. There's a well appointed kitchen with all necessary supplies and appliances and a bathroom with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The two bedrooms are a good size and not connected by a wall, which gives privacy and quiet. My favorite thing was the back wall of the cottage, which faced the lake. There were windows and a glass French door leading to a deck with chairs and a lovely view which could be seen everywhere in the "great" room. There are shades everywhere for light control and privacy. While the cottage is surrounded by other cottages, the area is absolutely quiet at night. We didnt use the hammock and fire pit but they are there. Jennifer was immediately responsive to questions.

We stayed one night at this property and reached out to the owner directly afterward with concerns (per her own request posted in the house)—she never responded. That lack of follow-up is why I’m leaving this review.We arrived after midnight, went straight to bed, and left early the next morning. We made coffee, brushed our teeth, and headed out. We didn’t use the shower, TV, kitchen, or any other amenities.Still, there were clear safety issues. The deck is half-built with no caution tape, no signage—nothing to warn guests. It’s a serious hazard.Also, avoid the kitchen island. I set my purse on it and it wobbled like it could tip over.We barely used the space and still ran into red flags. This property needs attention—and better communication from the owner.It did meet our basic needs: a bed for the night, dog-friendly, and a safe spot to leave our kayaks on the car. But if this had been a real vacation, not just a stopover, it would have been a major disappointment.And it's much too expensive for what it is.

A weekend away

Jennifer is very responsive to any questions check in process was easy. The place was very clean. Anything needed was there very close to Letchworth State Park? It looks like they are remodeling. Need to finish some projects. Otherwise there is a nice breakfast area outside a nice place by the fire, a nice view of a easy to find off the highway and within 10 minutes of the state park

Jennifer is an incredible host! We were having issues with locking the door, but she came in as soon as she could to fix the door lock for us. She’s incredibly easy to contact and is always willing to go the length as a host!The house is also very clean and has a lot of appliances that make cooking easy. It’s a great property with nice outdoor seating options.

Cozy little lake view cabin was a great setting for our family of 5. The owner really does think of the needs of vacationers and had it all covered. All the dishes, cooking utensils, glasses, etc. Even coffee to go with the coffee pot - thank you! We felt at home there and were grateful for all the instructions throughout the cabin (i.e. best settings for shower hot water, propane heater in living room, et al.). Definitely recommend a stay if you’re coming to Silver Lake, want to check out Letchwood State Park (Grand Canyon of the East), or just passing thru!
