Kingfisher Point: Beautiful New Home on Cassadaga Lake


This stylish new lake house was completed in September of 2022, and we are excited to open it to visitors to the Cassadaga Lake. Our home on Cassadaga Lake rests among the trees of an old growth forest adjacent to protected wetlands. Guests can enjoy the sun setting over the lake each evening from one of two porches facing the lake, or from the kayaks that are available to guests. And yes, Kingfishers are frequent visitors to the lakes as well! (No smoking and no pets allowed).

This peaceful home in the woods has two queen bedrooms and a loft (with two twin beds) overlooking the great room. The sectional sofa has a full-sized pull-out bed for anyone who prefers not to use the loft.

There are two full baths, one with a bathtub, and a fully equipped kitchen as well. A gas grill outside and a firepit easily extend living to the outdoor spaces which include deck furniture and outdoor eating spaces. A private nature trail to the wetlands leads to more secluded space in the old growth forest.

Guests will have full access to the home and the property. This is a quiet residential neighborhood where you can relax and enjoy the peace of the lake and the woods. The community would like to maintain this atmosphere, so no parties are allowed.

The loft is accessible by a ship's ladder which can be removed by parents if they wish to restrict access to the loft for younger children. Life jackets are provided for use with the kayaks and paddleboard. Note that the Cassadaga Lakes are renowned for excellent fishing and a fishing license is readily available nearby.

6 persons maximum occupancy and 28-day maximum stay - limits strictly enforced. This is a no shoe house.
The Village has a noise ordinance with quiet hours from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am.. At these times, outside noise should be kept to a conversational level.
Fireworks are also prohibited by our special use permit. Any permit violations can result in the loss of our permit to operate a rental.

Beautifull property on Cassadaga Lake. We fished every day and it was great having our boats moored at the property. The only issue was the third bedroom was upstairs that required two steep ladders to climb to access it. This would be fine for kids but not large adults. Overall, a very nice stay.

Perfect Lake House

This place is just about perfect. It was exceptionally clean and the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the amenities. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked with additional supplies. My daughter and future son-in-law loved kayaking in the lake. It was very calm and restful. I have rented with VRBO for various trips, and would consider this to be among the top locations I have ever rented.

A great place to stay

All five of us enjoyed our stay in this big, beautiful house on Cassadaga Lake! There was great communication from the property owners before the stay and they were also quick to answer questions while we were there. They even brought us some dry firewood for the fire pit after it had been raining. I will stay here again.

Family Gathering

We were actually in the area for an interment, and the space was ideal for family gatherings. Think living and quiet spaces for ages 6-66, rather than accommodating a large number of overnight guests. Even better than anticipated or described.

Winter Wonderland

We found Kingfisher to be even better than it was portrayed on VRBO. The location is perfect and the views from the windows were spectacular. The lake wasn’t frozen when we arrived on Friday but Monday morning, we were able to see a coyote trot across the frozen lake. I grew up in Cassadaga and did walk across the frozen lake at least once when I was a kid – what was I thinking! We also saw deer in the wooded area each evening.The home was beautiful – well thought out functional spaces, gorgeous natural woodwork, interesting tasteful accessories. The window insets with stained glass were so pretty and reminded us a little bit of Frank Lloyd Wright. The house was also extremely clean. One of my favorite unexpected surprises was the piano downstairs. I did take time after busy days to relax by practicing – thank you!I was so impressed that I checked to see if the property was available this summer when we’re coming for my 50th high school reunion. Unfortunately, it’s not (bummer) but after staying here, on a going forward basis, I will check this property as my first choice. I can’t wait to take advantage of the kayaks!
