Cascades de Torio

I would’ve given this a perfect rating but the shuttle had me waiting for over an hour at the airport and frustrated me to the point of grabbing an Uber.

As hotels go, it was a modern and well maintained property with comfortable beds, nice views from the higher floors and a reasonably priced bar. However, we booked through Expedia and was supposed to get access to the executive lounge (which is permanently closed), a 20% off food/beverage credit (not offered) and a room with a bath (shower only). Reasonable expectation was very different to reality then. The air conditioning in the room only went down to 20c and the room never got below 21c. This is very warm for sleeping and asked at reception for it to looked into. If anyone did investigate it, no difference was noticed. Breakfast was reasonable and busy. Also long waits for the lifts. The ice machine on our floor (19) was horrendously loud. It didn't affect us as we were by the lifts but if our room was further along the corridor, it may have been an issue. Hotel is in a safe area and we walked plenty of places from the door. Uber is also available and very cheap.
