"We had a fantastic stay at The Rival Hotel. This beautifully restored Art Deco hotel, owned by Benny Andersson of ABBA, perfectly blends character with modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A real highlight was the large windows that could actually be opened, letting in plenty of fresh air—a feature that’s surprisingly rare and much appreciated. The location in Södermalm is excellent, within easy walking distance of Slussen and the city’s main transport...

Many people note the small rooms - but as expected in a historic building, it is indeed on the smaller side- but charming and cozy which I believe is part of the adventure when traveling Europe. The staff is exceptional. Breakfast has a good variety and a nice way to start the day. I would definitely stay again."

"Das Hitel ist top. Allerdings war es komplett von Adidas als Hybrid Hotel gemietet und umgebranded. Dadurch stand z.B. die Rooftop-Bar für die anderen Gäste nicht zur Verfügung. Ein Hinweis vorab und wir hätten umgebucht. Ansonsten passte alles."

"On the waterfront just across from the old town, the location was perfect. The room was modern and clean, though the bathroom sink is strange and to me unappealing. The breakfast was fantastic, and the outdoor dining very nice!"

"Schönes Hotel in guter, zentraler Lage! Service war nicht auf 5 Sterne Niveau z.B. keine Hilfe beim Gepäck nach Check-in, Zimmerreinigung durchschnittlich/unvollständig, Servicepersonal beim Frühstück reserviert. Gut war die Qualität des Frühstücksbuffets und der Service an der Bar abends."

"We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was a huge plus. A good Scandinavian selection, and tasty. We were a little nervous not having our own bathroom, but it wasn't really an issue. Each bathroom had a shower, toilet, and sink and locked. They seemed to be cleaned multiple times a day. This was a great location to walk to Gamla Stan or to the ferry for the Vasa museum. Lots of cafes and grocery stores nearby. Would stay here again!"
