This apartment is conveniantly located just minutes away from Plaza Bocagrande Mall and three minutes away from the Historic Walls. It has 1 Bedroom w/king bed & 2 Sofa Beds , 2 Full Bathrooms and Laundry Room. It is a new building with a variety of amenities which includes 3 Pools , 2 Jacuzzi , Zen Garden and a Jet propelled pool with swimming machine. Its just 10 minutes away from Cartagena International Airport and walking distance from famous restaurants. Important Note: All Visitors must be registered at the time of admission. In casa of emergency, The doctor and nurse do not apply this restriction

The amenities were in good condition and the host answered questions for us quickly. A couple of things would have been beneficial including a toaster and a dishwasher. The posting indicated several pools were available but only the rooftop pool was accessible by guests. We were told you had to be an owner to access the third floor pools/swim spa area. We also lost wifi completely for a day and a half. We would have appreciated more direction on what to do with recycling. The building appeared to have it with some containers in common areas but nothing in the apt. Overall we enjoyed the apartment.

It wasn’t luxury at all!

The apartment is tiny. The couch aka the other sleep area was terrible. Pros- the place was clean really well! Cons- your room is overlooking the under construction pool which means noise all day! I went on vacation to relax! Communication with the host felt force and it wasn’t welcoming. The fire alarm goes off and there’s no phone to call the security to find out if it’s a false alarm or not. You just gotta use your other senses. I personally didn’t enjoy my stay. This is actually my first negative review for a place. It left a lot to be desired. I ended up leaving and booking at the Bastion hotel

Sweet Location

A nice clean apartment for just one or a couple. perfect location and everything you need in the apartment. I was very happy with everything here. building has good security and checks everyone walking in. If you are concerned with safety you will feel safe here. cameras every where and staff.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful

So I came here as a guest body piercer for one of the top rated tattoo shops in the area. Upon checking in the property manager Barbara met me at the apartment. After introducing herself and showing me how everything works her next statement was extremely disrespectful and very unprofessional. She said and I quote "so are you here looking for chica's? Because we don't allow prostitutes here" I said excuse me I said is that something that you ask all your guests when they check in? She said well you're a single guy. I said well I would appreciate it if it is now and she kept insisting that I allow her to come by every day and I told her do not come by again. Then on the second night I brought back a guest that works at the tattoo shop to show them the apartment. In less than 1 minute security was knocking at the door saying that Raul called them and told them he was watching me on the camera and saw I had a guest and guests are not allowed that I had to pay extra. Now mind you in his description it says that guests are allowed. He monitors the cameras 24 hours a day and it is very intrusive. So in case you want to feel like you're being watched at all times I would go to a different property. And lastly I was asked almost every single day by the security to tip them. They literally ask you flat out to give them money for tip. I don't recommend this location due to the lack of privacy and unprofessionalism. Oh and if you're looking for a hot shower it's not going to happen here you have about 30 seconds of hot water and that's not even exaggerating.

40th Wedding Anniversary Trip

The property is just as posted. Very well maintained in a nice building. While it is across from the beach, the was construction directly in front of the building but it did not affect my rating. The owner was very active with communication when needed. We had an unfortunate incident where we were taken advantage of by some local residents. He was very sympathetic to our situation and responsive to our concerns and requests. I definitely recommend this property for your stay in Cartegena.

Solid host, will NOT be back...

Recently spent 3 nights at Raul’s apartment located in the Bocagrande section of Cartagena. While Raul was an outstanding host who was generally responsive, there were certain aspects of my stay that left some things to be desired. Unfortunately, much of this was outside of his control, but I want to make sure future guests have a thorough understanding of the pros and cons before booking their stay here. If all you need is a place to sleep, this could be a great spot. However, if you plan to use any of the amenities, as I did, be prepared for some pretty major obstacles. The Pros: - Really nice high end luxury building located across the street from the Ocean - Apartment is well equipped w/ towels and toiletries, includes washer & dryer in-unit - AC works great The Cons: - For my entire stay only 1/2 elevators was running. This is a major pain in the @ss when it happens at my apartment building at home, which is 12 stories tall. So imagine what the wait times were like here, given the Murano Elite stretches 40 stories high. Nearly every time I wanted to go up OR down there was a significant wait involved, and the A/C isn’t really on in the hallways, making it that much more uncomfortable and inconvenient. - COVID amenity reservation policy combined with lack of English speakers = no bueno; You have to book the pool(s) in advance with the front desk, who speaks little to no English. Additionally, I went during the rainy season, which made it very difficult to predict a day or more in advance when the weather would be conducive to swimming. Finally, the rooftop pool was close for "maintenance" my entire stay except the day of my departure. - The beach area directly across the street is under construction; not necessarily a huge issue but it does take away from the view, and also means you have to walk a bit down in the oppressive heat to get to the first entry point - As other reviewers have noted, Bocagrande is not the world’s prettiest beach. Suffice to say there are plenty of beaches in the US that blow it away. Furthermore, the “vendors” (if you can even call them that) will pretty much harass you nonstop if it’s obvious you are a gringo or otherwise not from there. I have been all over the world and experienced similar behavior in places like Jamaica, but I have to say, Cartagena takes this to a WHOLE NEW level. Be prepared to be solicited by nearly every person peddling anything that crosses your path at any time.

Has to be the best apt stay in Bocagrande area

The apt is an exceptional choice!! If this place is available during your stay be sure to book ASAP! I seriously doubt you can find another place that is better. You can walk or take taxi to Walled city for $2 USD. The BocaGrande mall and a huge supermarkter are literally 1 block away.

FANTASTIC

This is a great condo with all of the amenities you need. Perfect location with grocery store around the corner and tons of restaurants within walking distance or short taxi ride. I highly recommend. Rooftop pool with incredible views.

Great residence to stay in Bocagrande, Cartagena

We rented this place and it was good value for money. The bed is huge. Our infant sleeps with us at this point and we all had lots of space. It is comfy, too. The two bathrooms were modern and each have a shower. The curtains are motorized in living room and bedroom. AC is excellent. Both curtains and AC have remotes. Wi-Fi is excellent. Raul is quick to communicate. Georgina is super friendly and shared good advice for going to the Getsamaní market. Even the front staff were amicable and helpful. The 3rd floor pool was awesome and had two jacuzzis with big jets; perfect for sunsets. In COVID times, you have to reserve your time at the pool, though. Note: the infinity pool was under repair/renovation and was to open in a month or so. I had a hard time figuring out how to get steady hot water. I think that’s half on me. Kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry room, too, except we had to get our own detergent. All in all, we loved our stay and would contact Raul if we ever come back.

Excellent long getaway

Raul was a wonderful host, very responsive and accommodating. The property is very centrally located; wonderful gym and supermarket less than a block away at Boca Grande Plaza. The beach is directly across the street. The pools in the building have spectacular views and are very private a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the beach. The view from the balcony in the apt is very nice and you are able to see both the harbor and the beach; great to catch the sunrise and sunset! We were here for over 3 weeks and definitely did not want to leave. The people at the reception are very helpful and friendly. Also, Raul helped us coordinate weekly cleaning with Georgina who was a bright and wonderful presence. Looking forward to returning next year, hopefully for a bit longer;)
