The Blue Seahorse is located on The St. George Sound in The Gulf of Mexico, Bayside. Beautiful sunrises & sunsets. Rent the home for a fun family escape and enjoy a huge deck with seating and beautiful views. 150 feet of private beach, great fishing and crabbing year round right from the beach or sandbar. The location has a huge great room with smart TV, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a sun porch with a twin bed, WiFi, 3 flat screen TVs with cable. Fine furnishings in a beach house atmosphere.
Places to visit in the surrounding area include: Tate's Hell Nature Trail, the Historic Carrabelle Lighthouse and Museum, Camp Gordon Johnston World War II Museum, Dog Island Ferry excursions, charter fishing, kayaking, cycling paths across the road, glass-bottom boat rides at Wakulla Springs, Panacea's Gulf Specimen Marine Lab (with touch pools for children), Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, a variety of local seafood eateries and a local supermarket. Apalachicola has many antique shops and lots of historic homes and is the home of the first Ice Machine built.
Close by is the beautiful St. James Bay Golf Course and Resort 370 Acres of Golf Community, Resort Style 18 hole Play golf course designed by Robert Walker. The Famous Crooked River Grill is just 15 minutes away. There is a small apartment on the ground floor that is NOT included in this listing. The year round 1st floor tenant is a woman named Christina & her pup. She is familiar with the community and location. The 1st floor apartment has a completely separate entrance and exit. The 1st floor apartment is considered a separate residence under Franklin County guidelines.
As the entry's are completely separate, there are still private places for you to enjoy on the 1st floor like a hammock, the outdoor shower, fish cleaning station, the kayaks, 2 fire pits and sitting areas. There is also 2 BBQ grill (propane) and Blackstone there. We do ask that you respect her small area and privacy as she will respect yours.
Christina is a great asset to us and the house during hurricane season as well as the surrounding community.

Paradise on the Forgotten Coast

The Blue Seahorse was the perfect landing point for my family's spring vacation. The living space is huge. The photos in the listing can't capture it adequately. Comfy seating, and lots of it. The kitchen has anything you might need. Beds were comfy. The home is decorated with so many cool things, I was still noticing new details on the last day of our stay.The outside space is an even bigger star. There is virtually no other beach traffic, with the exception of a neighbor walking their dog. The water is just steps away. Low tide was our favorite time, when we waded out to explore sand bars and pools teaming with hermit crabs and snails.No one wanted to leave when our time was up. Our host Bonnie was so thoughtful, and is in our top 3 hosts of all times.

Wonderful Memorable Holiday

Beautiful place to unwind and reconnect

We had a great time in Carabelle. This property had everything we needed and then some - everything was labeled, well furnished, and well stocked with things needed to really enjoy a stay at the beach. The local grocery stores were fine for us, and the locals were nice and accommodating. The fishing was a highlight of the trip - and there is so much wildlife in the area. We really enjoyed our time here.

Perfect vacation

We vacationed with adult children and this house was perfect for 6 people. Kitchen fully stocked, very clean and rigjt on a private beach. We loved the kayaks and we spent many hours on ocean sighting jellyfish and dolphins. Lots of marine life to observe. Very quiet area and very peaceful

Beach Goer and Fisherman's Paradise

We have been going to this property for the past 4 years! We love the location and the beach access. Great fishing spot. They always provide more than what you need at this rental. My kids love the tray of snacks that's on the counter! It's just a cozy spot. The couple that lives downstairs is always so helpful, but they give you your space. Barely can tell they are there. Can't wait to go back!

Blue With A View

A comfortable and welcoming home in a quiet spot. One of the most well-appointed kitchens and variety of amenities for use in the home of any place we've stayed. We enjoyed sunrises and daily walks on the beach, and there's some nice excursions to head to for a few hours if you're wanting. We had a relaxing, lowkey time and really liked the house and location.

Wonderful getaway!

We loved staying at the Blue Seahorse! This was the most organized rental we have ever visited. Everything is labeled and anything we needed was there! We loved all the small touches, like snack/sandwich containers for toddlers, high chair, beach toys, etc. loved kayaking in the bay and getting to enjoy the wildlife! Also, quick trips to surrounding towns. Such a cozy, clean, well thought out rental! The couple and their dog in the first floor apartment were very nice and we enjoyed their recommendations!

2023 Forgotten Coast Vacation

Relaxing & Beautiful

We enjoyed our visit to Bonnie’s property The Blue Seahorse in Carrabelle, FL. The property had everything you needed, fully equipped & made us feel right at home. The beach was amazing & we even seen dolphins & the sunrise was like no other. We drove to the town of Appalachicola & ate & walked around the town, which was very nice, We took our 2 dogs Kara & Luna & they enjoyed the beach & water. There were supplies stocked in the house for them which was very nice. Thank you for sharing your home. We greatly enjoyed. ☀️🌊🏖️

The Perfect Vacation

We were so pleased with everything about our rental! The house was large and stocked with everything you could have asked for. We were fascinated with the closeness of the ocean and all the sea life! The sunrises are beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the Hunter’s moon rise at night! The owner of the home, Bonnie, was always helpful and quick to answer all of our questions! We couldn’t have loved it more!

Forgotten Coast of Florida

Beautiful house with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view. Kitchen has everything you’ll need plus more. Tons of beach toys and just steps away from the water. Bonnie was easy to communicate with if there was anything we needed including fishing guides and good restaurants to try. Very quiet with not much to do other than relax on the beach. A day in Apalachicola shopping was a nice change. St George Island is also an easy drive for some shopping and dining ideas. We loved it and will likely be coming back

Little piece of heaven

Great views and the house is stocked more than most rentals. The host (Bonnie) responded with any questions. The ONLY bad thing I would have to say is we didn't win the lottery while we were there so we could offer her a lump sum to buy it. Would recommend this to anyone .

Perfect quiet family getaway

This was everything we wanted for a relaxing family getaway. The beach was just perfect. Plus all the sealife is amazing. Extra bonus was we didn't realize how great the fishing would be right off the beach. My husband and Brother in law plus all the kids loved this part. The house was very charming and had great views especially in the morning when the dolphins were out. Not far from shopping and some great restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
